A newly installed refrigerator may take 12 to 24 hours to begin making ice.
Automatic Icemaker
The icemakerwill produce sevencubes
per cycle-approximatelg 100-130 cubes
in a 24-hour period,depending on freezer
compartment temperature, room
temperature, number of door openings
and other useconditions.
If the refrigerator is operated beforethe
water connection is made to the icemaker,
set the power switch in the OFFposition.
When the refrigerator has been connected
to the water supplg,set the power switch
to the ON position.
Theicemakerwill fill with water when it cools
to !5°F (-!0°C).A newlg installedrefrigerator
mag take 12to 24hours to begin making
icecubes.
Youwill hear a buzzing sound each time
the icemaker fills with water.
Throw awag the first few batches of ice
to allow the water line to clear.
Besure nothing interferes with the sweep
of the feelerarm.
When the bin fills to the levelof the feeler
arm, the icemaker will stop producing ice.
It is normal for several cubes to bejoined
together.
If ice is not usedfrequentlg, old ice cubes will
become cloudg, taste stale and shrink.
Specialnote about dispenser models:
Somemodels have a tilt-out ice bin.
Thebin can betilted out as shown in the
illustrations,and it will hold itself up while
gou take ice out or turn the icemaker
power switch on and off. Besure to put the
bin back in placebefore closing the door.
To restore your ice level from an empty
bucket stage, the following steps ere
recommended:
O 12 hours after the first batch of ice has
fallen into the bin, dispense5 to 4 cubes.
O After an additional 6 hours,dispense
5 to 4 cubes again.
Thesestepswill restore gour ice level in
the shortest amount oftime.
