  If your GE Washer is making loud or unusual noises, vibrating, or shaking, it could be due to several reasons. The cabinet is designed to move slightly, about 1/4", which is normal. Ensure all rubber leveling legs are firmly touching the floor and are locked in place. If the washer is uneven, adjust the legs. An unbalanced load can also cause these issues; pause the unit, open the door, and manually redistribute the load. To check the machine, run a rinse and spin cycle with no load to see if the noise persists.

The washer should have a separate outlet. If it's the first time the washer is plugged in, it may be undergoing automatic system checks, which can take up to 20 seconds before you can use it.

  If water does not enter your GE Washer or enters slowly, it could be due to automatic system checks that occur after the Start button is pressed; water will flow 60 seconds after Start is pressed. Another reason could be that the water supply is turned off; turn on both hot and cold faucets fully. Also, the water valve screens might be clogged; turn off the water source, remove the water connection hoses from the back of the washer, clean the screens, and reconnect the hoses.
