About the automatic icemaker.
A newly installed refrigerator may take 22 to 24 hours to begin making ice.
On dispenser models,
to access ice or reach
the power switch:
O Pull the bin forward until the
bin stops.

O Lower the bin to access ice
or reach the power switch.
Automatic Icemaker
Theicemaker will produce seven cubes
per cycle-approximatelg 100-130 cubes
in a 24-hour period, depending on freezer
compartment temperature, room
temperature, number of door openings
and other useconditions.
If the refrigerator isoperated before the
water connection is made to the icemaker,
setthe power switch in the OFFposition.
Whenthe refrigerator hasbeen connected
to the water supplg,set the power switch
to the ON position.
Theicemaker will fill with water when it cools
to !5°F (-!0°C).A newlg installedrefrigerator
magtake 12to 24 hoursto begin making
icecubes.
Youwill hear a buzzingsound each time
the icemaker fills with water.
Throw uwag the first few batches of ice
to allow the water line to clear.
Besure nothing interferes with the sweep
of the feelerarm.
Special note about dispenser models:
Dispensermodels have a tilt-out icebin.
Thebin can be tilted out as shown in the
illustrations,and it will hold itself up while
gou take iceout or turn the icemaker
power switch on and off. Besure to put the
bin back in place before closing the door.
To restore your ice level from an empty
bucket stage, the following steps are
recommended:
O 12 hours after the first butch of ice has
fallen into the bin, dispense 3 to 4 cubes.
O After an additional 6 hours,dispense
3 to z_cubes again.
These stepswill restore gout ice levelin
the shortest amount of time.
Whenthe bin fills to the levelof the feeler
arm, the icemakerwill stop producing ice. X
It isnormal for several cubes to bejoined Power-"
together, switch FeelerAim .................
If ice isnot used frequentlg, old ice cubeswill
become cloudg,taste stale and shrink.
Removing Ice Bin Idispenser models)
CAUTION:Theice binis heavy when full.
Setthe power switch to the OFFposition
before removing the bin.
When replacing the bin, be sure to press
it firmlg into place. If it doesnot go all the
wag back, remove it and rotate the drive
mechanism 1/4 turn. Then push the bin
back again.
