Why is my GE PVD28BYNFS Refrigerator water dispenser not working?

Several factors can cause the water dispenser to malfunction. The water supply line might be off or not properly connected (refer to the section on Installing the Water Line). The water filter could be clogged, or the filter bypass plug might not be correctly installed, in which case you should replace the filter cartridge or install the bypass plug. Air trapped in the water system can also be the issue; try pressing the dispenser arm for at least 5 minutes. Lastly, the water in the reservoir might be frozen due to excessively cold control settings. Try setting the refrigerator control to a warmer setting and wait 24 hours. If the water still doesn't dispense, further assistance may be required.
