Cleaning
Never use acids, chemical thinner,
Unplug the refrigerator and remove
food, shelf and trays. Washinside
with warm water and baking soda
solution—about two tablespoons
of baking soda to a quart of water.
Then rinse and dry.
Don’t use cleansers such as soaps,
detergents, scouring powder or
gasoline, benzine or the like for
cleaning any part of the refrigerator.
Boilingwaterandbenzinemaydeform
or damage plastic parts and may
present a safety hazard.
Do not wash any plastic parts from
your refrigerator in your automatic
dishwasher.
spray cleaners—they may cause
odors inside the refrigerator.
When going on vacation . . .
Wash ice cube trays, drip trays and
shelf in mild detergent solution and
dry with a soft cloth.
Wipe the outside of the refrigerator
with a soft cloth dampened with
soapy water.
Use only mild, soapy water to
clean the door gasket.
Forextended vacations or
absences, shut offpower to the
refrigerator, turn the control to OFF
position, and clean the interior. To
prevent odors, leaveanopen boxof
soda inside and leavethe door open.
Forshorter vacations, remove
perishable foods and leavethe
control at regular setting. However,
if room temperature is expectedto
drop below40 “F.follow the same
instructionsasforextendedvacations.
When you move. . .

Disconnect the power cord from
walloutlet, removefood anddefrost
refrigerator. Then clean and dry the
interior.
Secure all loose items such as ice
traysand drip trays by taping them
securely in place to prevent damage.
Besurerefrigeratorstaysin upright
position only during actual moving
and in van. Refrigerator must be
secured in vantoprevent movement.
Protect outside of refrigerator with
blanket.
