2. All service jobs should be carried out only by those who have been trained and delegated to do so, and who
have read and understood this complete service instruction and the Compressor Service Instruction Manual.
MOUNTING INSTRUCTIONS
REQUIREMENTS:
Documents:
a) The Installation and Maintenance Manual (IMM)
GENERAL REPLACEMENT PROCEDURE:
On re-assembly, after internal inspection, repair or maintenance, no gaskets, rings and seals may be re-used!
1. Evacuate the compressor (refer to the IMM).
2. Disconnect the electrical power supply.
3. Mount stop valve (Table Pos 1) to oil pump housing if necessary (refer to fig 2).
4. Fill with oil.
5. Purge the compressor (refer to the IMM).
WHEN PRE-LUBRICATION?
 Before initial start-up
 Before start-up after overhauling compressor
 Before start-up after renewal of oil
 Before start-up after standstill period of more than 3 months (only discharge side)
PRE-LUBRICATION PROCEDURE
1. Open oil suction filter (fig 1), top up crankcase to the minimum required oil level and close filter.
2. Connect oil filling pump to stop valve on oil discharge filter (fig 2) and top up oil to 50-75% level
(Hand operated oil filling pump can be supplied by Grasso)
