Several factors could prevent your GEAppliances Dehumidifier from starting. First, ensure the dehumidifier is properly plugged into the outlet. Check your house fuse or circuit breaker and replace the fuse or reset the breaker if needed. If the bucket is full or not correctly placed, empty it and ensure it's securely seated. Also, the dehumidifier may have reached its preset level; try changing to a lower setting. Finally, after a power failure, there's a protective 3-minute delay to prevent compressor overload, so wait before it starts normal dehumidifying.
