TROUBLESHOOTING
If the flashlight does not turn on, or works intermittently:
Replace the batteries.
Make sure the tail cap is twisted on tightly and batteries are inserted correctly.
If the flashlight flickers or changes modes automatically:

WARRANTY AND LIMITATION OF LIABILITY
MAINTENANCE
Inspect the flashlight monthly and carefully remove any damaged batteries and clean
any corrosion. If the flashlight is used less than once a month, remove the batteries
between uses. Lubricate all threads and rubber O-rings with petroleum jelly twice
yearly.
Limited One-Year Warranty
GearLight warrants this product for one year from the date of purchase
against any defects in material or workmanship. This warranty does not cover
normal wear and tear, nor damage resulting from misuse or neglect. We will,
at our discretion, repair, replace, or refund the purchase price of this product
should we determine it to be defective.
Limitation Of Liability
Liability limited to the purchase price of this product. GearLight shall not be
liable for any incidental or consequential damages or any implied warranty on
this product. Some states do not allow the exclusion or limitation of
incidental or consequential damages, so the above limitation or exclusion
may not apply to you.
If problem persists: LED Failure. Contact GearLight for replacement.

Function Description:

The GearLight X1000 is an LED tactical flashlight offering multiple lighting modes and a zoomable beam. It can be powered by either three AAA batteries or a single 18650 lithium-ion rechargeable battery, providing flexibility in power sources. Its primary function is to provide portable, powerful illumination with adjustable beam focus and intensity.

Usage Features:

  • On/Off Operation: The flashlight is turned on and off by firmly pressing the red power button located on the tail cap until a click is heard.
  • Mode Switching: To cycle through the 5 lighting modes (High, Medium, Low, Strobe, SOS), gently press the red power button. The flashlight will switch to the next mode with quick successive presses. If the flashlight is off for more than 10 seconds, it will reset to the highest mode upon being turned back on.
  • Zoom Function: The beam can be adjusted from a wide floodlight to a focused spotlight. To zoom in, pull the two ends of the flashlight away from each other. To zoom out, push the two ends together.
  • Battery Installation (AAA):
    1. Unfasten the tail cap and remove the battery holder and clear tube.
    2. Insert 3 AAA batteries into the holder, observing correct polarity (+,-).
    3. Insert the battery holder into the clear tube.
    4. Place the combined battery holder and clear tube back into the flashlight with the positive (+) end first.
  • Battery Installation (18650 Lithium-ion):
    1. Insert one 18650 battery into the clear tube.
    2. Place the combined 18650 battery and clear tube into the flashlight with the positive (+) end first.
  • Safety Warnings:
    • Avoid staring directly into the light beam or shining it into anyone's eyes to prevent eye injury.
    • The flashlight may become warm or hot during extended use at the highest setting; selecting a lower setting is recommended when it's hot. This is normal for high-powered flashlights.
    • For lithium-ion batteries, use only 18650 cells with a protection circuit from reputable manufacturers (Panasonic, Sanyo, Sony, Samsung, LG) to prevent fire, explosion, and burn hazards. Remove the battery when the flashlight is not in use.
    • For AAA batteries, always follow the manufacturer's instructions for usage, handling, storage, and disposal. Use only batteries from a reputable manufacturer, do not mix brands or types, and replace all batteries simultaneously.
