Operation and Maintenance
It is essential, when replacing the cables on the batteries
that the positive cable is attached to the positive post
(+) and the negative cable is attached to the negative
post (-). Battery posts are identifi ed on the battery case
as positive (+) and negative (-). Cable clamps should
be tight on the terminal posts and free of corrosion.
CAUTION!
WARNING!
• Battery fl uid is a corrosive acid solution and can burn or
blind you.
• Do not allow battery fl uid to contact eyes, skin or cloth-
ing. If acid splashes in eyes or on the skin, fl ush the area
immediately with large quantities of water.
• Battery gas is fl ammable and explosive. Keep fl ame
or sparks away from the battery or any other booster
source.
• Do not allow battery cable clamps to touch each other.
• Battery posts, terminals and related accessories contain
lead and lead compounds. Wash your hands after han-
dling.
