 Switch off the unit when you remove it from the refrigerator. The low temperatures inside the refrigerator
will cause condensation on and inside the unit’s casing as soon as it comes into contact with room tempe-
rature. If the unit is not switched off, the electrical parts may short circuit and cause damage to the metal
parts or the batteries.
 Before changing the batteries, make sure that the unit is completely dry and remove completely any con-
densed water that might have been developed in order to avoid short-circuits and damages of metal parts.
 Remove the batteries if the unit is not being used for a lengthy period of time.
 Do not bring the unit in contact with water.
 The unit is only designed for use in the refrigerator. Please never put it in the freezer compartment or the
freezer!
 Do not use the unit in the vicinity of fl ammable or combustible products or vapors.
 Do not shake the unit, otherwise internal parts may become loose.
Caution!
Do not dispose of the batteries in your household waste! Please take them to a battery collection point for
environmentally-friendly disposal.

Fruits and vegetables are treated with pesticides, and other kinds of foods already have visible and invisible
mildew and bacteria on them when they are purchased - refrigerators are used for the storage of many different
kinds of foods which create many different kinds of odors. There is no circulating air inside the refrigerator, so
the bacteria can spread and the pesticides cannot dissipate.
The Genius Air PLUS helps on the basis of ionization technology: it generates negative ions which in turn clean
the air in your refrigerator, reducing all sorts of bacteria along with stale and foul odors. It makes sure that you
can keep foods fresh for longer and your refrigerator always smells fresh.
In addition, the Genius Air PLUS helps to reduce ethylene gas, a ripening agent, which causes fruit to decay and
vegetables to wilt, producing disagreeable odors.
Operation of the Genius Air PLUS and the monitoring of its many-sided functions is child’s play and possible at
all times with the integrated LED display.
