Warning!
The grating surface is extremely sharp; when you are handling the grater, make sure that no parts of your
body get in contact with the grating surface.
To protect against injury to persons and damage to the grating surface, always replace the protective cover
after each use!
Grating insert with protective cover
Lift up the cutting upper part to a 90 degree position (vertical) and pull upwards so that the upper part
comes out of the side holders.
First, remove the protective cover of the grating insert, whereby you press the small hook on the sides
upwards with the thumb, so that it is released from its position and the protective cover can be simply
taken away. After use, return the protective cover to its original position, whereby the hooks at one end
are fi rst set into their holders and then the hooks at the other end pressed into their holders, until the
protective cover clicks back into place.
Carefully position the “feet“ of the grating insert into the prepa-
red notches in the cutting lower part (see illustration). Now, gently
press the other side downwards, until the grating insert clicks into
place.
Now you can grate the desired ingredients directly into the collec-
tion box by sliding them up and down the grater while applying
gentle pressure.
At the outside end of the cutting lower part there is a recessed grip. This helps you to remove the grating insert
by lifting slightly and then removing.
