with products specically designed for use with a heated hairstyling
aid such as a ghd heat mat.
Handling your ghd platinum™ styler
The ghd platinum™ styler contains high tech sensitive components
therefore please ensure that the product is not dropped. Do not insert
foreign objects, paint, burn or disassemble your ghd platinum™ styler.
Do not use your ghd platinum™ styler if it has been damaged – for
example if the styler casing is cracked. If your product is damaged
through mis-use or abuse, this will not be covered under your
guarantee. This does not aect your statutory rights.

Do not use this appliance
near bathtubs, showers,
basins or other vessels
containing water.
1. Never use the ghd platinum™ styler in the bathroom,
basin or any other application where it could come
into contact with water.
2. Do not place or store the appliance where it can fall or
be pulled into a bath, basin or sink.
3. Do not reach for the appliance if it has fallen into water.
4. Do not spray or apply wet styling aids directly onto the ghd
platinum™ styler.

As with most electrical appliances, electrical parts are electrically

To reduce the risk of electrocution:
Never operate this
appliance if it has a
damaged power cord
or plug, or if it is not
working properly.
If the power cord or plug
is damaged, it must be
replaced by Jemella Ltd,
its service agent or a
similarly qualied persons
in order to avoid a hazard.
1. Only use with 110–240V , 50/60 Hz power supply.
2. The appliance should never be left unattended when plugged in.
3. Keep the power cord away from heated surfaces. Do not wrap the
power cord around the appliance. Do not hang the ghd platinum™
styler by the power cord.
4. Always unplug the ghd platinum™ styler immediately after using.
5. Do not use an extension power cord with
this appliance.
6. Do not use a voltage inverter or generator with
this appliance.
7. Your ghd product is a class II electrical appliance
and should not be connected to an earth connection.
warning: hot surfaces
The ghd platinum™ styler heater plates are hot for eective styling.
To reduce the risk of burns:
1. NEVER touch the styler heater plates.
2. When not styling always lay the ghd platinum™ styler on a at
heat-resistant surface such as a ghd styler heat mat.
3. When styling is complete, always switch o the ghd platinum™
styler and unplug it from the power supply.
4. Wait for the ghd platinum™ styler to cool before storing.
5. After styling the plates remain hot – for safe cooling cover the
plates with the heat proof plate guard.
6. When the ghd platinum™ styler has cooled, fold the power cord in
the same way as it was rst delivered in its packaging. Do not wind
it around your hand or the body of the ghd platinum™ styler as this
can lead to early failure of the power cord.
