Why Giatsu IX43 R32 Air Conditioner does not turn on when pressing ON/OFF button?
    • M
      Matthew SanchezAug 11, 2025
Your Giatsu Air Conditioner might not be turning on due to a few reasons: * It could be due to the 3-minute protection feature that prevents overloading. If the unit was recently turned off, wait three minutes before attempting to restart it. * For Cooling and Heating Models: If both the Operation light and PRE-DEF indicators are illuminated, it indicates that the outdoor temperature is too low, and the unit's anti-cold wind function is active to defrost it. In this case, wait for the outdoor temperature to increase. * For Cooling-only Models: If only the “Fan Only” indicator is lit, it means the outdoor temperature is too cold, and the unit's anti-freeze protection is working to defrost the unit. Please wait until the outdoor temperature rises.

Why does my Giatsu IX43 R32 change from COOL mode to FAN mode?
    • N
      ncampbellAug 20, 2025
There are a couple of reasons why your Giatsu Air Conditioner might be switching from COOL to FAN mode: 1. The unit may be changing its setting to prevent frost from forming. Wait for the temperature to increase, and it will start operating normally again. 2. The set temperature might have been reached, causing the compressor to turn off. The unit will resume cooling when the temperature fluctuates.

Why my Giatsu IX43 R32 Air Conditioner indoor and outdoor units emit white mist?
    • S
      Sharon BellAug 26, 2025
When the Giatsu Air Conditioner restarts in HEAT mode after defrosting, white mist may be emitted from both the indoor and outdoor units. This is due to moisture generated during the defrosting process.

Why my Giatsu IX43 R32 indoor and outdoor units make noises?
    • V
      Vanessa SteeleSep 3, 2025
A low hissing sound may occur during operation of your Giatsu Air Conditioner. This is normal and is caused by refrigerant gas flowing through both the indoor and outdoor units. Also, a low hissing sound may be heard when the system starts, has just stopped running, or is defrosting. This noise is normal and results from the refrigerant gas stopping or changing direction.
