This document describes the installation, usage, and maintenance of a Glacier Bay stainless steel kitchen sink.
Function Description:

It can be installed as either a topmount (from above the counter) or an undermount (from below the counter) sink, offering flexibility based on user preference and countertop type. The sink assembly includes a faucet, a soap dispenser, and a sink grid for each bowl. Its primary function is to facilitate washing, rinsing, and food preparation tasks in a kitchen environment. - Soap Dispenser: A soap dispenser is integrated into the sink design, providing convenience and a clean aesthetic.
- Strainer Assembly: The strainer assembly is designed for efficient drainage and includes a screener, bowl, strainer ring, various washers, locknut, plastic joint, and connecting nut to ensure a secure and leak-free connection.
- Sink Grids: Sink grids are provided for each bowl, which help protect the sink surface from scratches and allow for better drainage of items placed in the sink.
- Water Supply Connections: The faucet connects to hot and cold water supply lines using threaded nuts, with a label indicating the hot side inlet tube.
- Flushing and Leak Check: After installation, the manual emphasizes flushing the water lines to remove debris and checking for leaks to ensure proper functionality.
Maintenance Features:
- Daily Cleaning: Recommended daily cleaning involves using liquid dish detergent, water, and a soft household sponge to remove dirt and prevent staining.
- Stubborn Stains: For lime or calcium deposits, warm vinegar or vinegar-based cleaner can be used, followed by rinsing and drying.
- Scratches: Scratches are considered inevitable with use. A nylon pad with an iron-free abrasive polishing compound can be used to blend out scratches, following the original polish lines. Caution is advised against aggressive scrubbing to avoid bright spots.
- Avoid Harsh Cleaners: Strong abrasive cleaners, metal scrub pads, or steel wool should not be used as they can scratch the surface.
- Prevent Stains:
- Do not leave rubber mats or sponges inside the sink as trapped water can lead to stains.
- Avoid leaving food with high salt content in the sink for prolonged periods.
- Do not allow chlorine bleach to sit in the sink for more than 1 hour.
- Drain cleaners should not come into contact with the sink surface.
- Paint should not be poured into the sink. Acrylic paints can cause permanent marks if left for over 24 hours. Latex paints should be removed immediately with a suitable paint remover. Nail polish remover, rubbing alcohol, or acetone-based paint remover can be used for paint residue.
- Rust Spots: Stainless steel does not rust; rust spots are typically caused by iron particles from water, cookware, or steel wool pads. Metal cleaners can be used to remove these spots.
- Food Stains: Depending on severity, a bleach and water solution or bleach on a cloth covering the stain can be used for at least 1/2 hour, followed by cleaning with dish detergent and water.
