Securing the wheelchair with a 4 strap restraint system
⚠ Warning
Standard ISO 10542-1 approved 4 point WTORS (wheelchair Tie down and Occupant
Restraint Systems), are only tested to 85kg.
For wheelchairs heavier than 85kg it is recommended to use an ISO 10542-1 WTORS
(heavy duty system), which is rated for the total weight of the wheelchair including any
options. If using a HeavyDuty System, use 4 straps to secure the wheelchair, 2 straps at
the front and 2 straps at the rear.
