This document describes the FX-32B, a motion-controlled drone designed for indoor use, featuring color-changing LED lights and various interactive flight modes. It is suitable for ages 6 and up and offers a fun, engaging experience for single or multiple players.

Function Description

The FX-32B is a quadcopter that can be controlled through hand motions and a wireless transmitter. Its primary function is to fly and perform various aerial maneuvers, providing an interactive play experience. The drone is equipped with LED lights that change color, adding a visual element to its flight. It is designed to hover in the air, launch from a toss, and automatically avoid obstacles, making it user-friendly and safe for indoor environments. The drone also has a 360° flip function for more advanced tricks.

Usage Features

The FX-32B offers multiple ways to operate and interact with the drone:

• ON/OFF and Launch:

  • Drone Activation: To turn on the drone, place it on a solid surface and press its switch for 2 seconds. The indicator lights will change from slowly flashing to solid, indicating it's ready.
  • Toss to Launch: Once activated, you can toss the drone into the air, and it will take off and hover.
  • Transmitter Launch/Stop: Alternatively, use the wireless transmitter. Press the center ON/OFF button while holding the transmitter 6-15 inches from the drone. The drone will gently take off. To stop flight, press the center button again.

• Obstacle Avoidance: When flying, the drone's indicator light will flash as it calculates its distance to nearby obstacles. If an obstacle is detected, the drone will automatically move in the reverse direction to avoid it, enhancing safety and ease of use.

• Side-to-Side Flight: To make the drone fly side-to-side, hold your hand under the drone (approximately 4 inches away). The indicator light will recognize your hand as an obstacle, causing the drone to fly upwards. By placing your hands on the side of the drone, you can direct it to move horizontally.

• 360° Flip: To perform a flip, position both hands on either side of the drone (about 4 inches away) to send a distance signal. Once the indicator lights blink rapidly, move your hand to the bottom of the drone, and it will execute a 360° flip.

• Hand Motion Color Changing LED Lights: The drone features a color ring with two sensors. By moving your hand along this ring, you can trigger the LED lights to change colors randomly, adding a dynamic visual effect to the flight.

• Multi-Player Capability: The FX-32B is designed for multi-player interaction, allowing several individuals to engage with the drone using different techniques, as illustrated in the manual.

• Advanced Game Play: The manual provides illustrations of various techniques for advanced game play, encouraging users to explore different ways to interact with the drone.

Maintenance Features

Proper charging and occasional calibration are essential for maintaining the drone's performance:

• Charging the Tornado (Drone):

  1. Turn off the drone and remove the battery from its compartment.
  2. Plug the USB charging wire into a power source; the USB cable indicator light will be OFF.
  3. Plug the USB wire into the battery. A red indicator light will illuminate during charging.
  4. The red indicator light will turn off once the battery is fully charged.
  5. Full charging typically takes 45-60 minutes, providing approximately 5 minutes of flight time.
  6. For extended battery life, it is recommended to keep the battery power at 50% when not in use.

• Battery Installation: The battery should be installed as shown in the provided picture. Battery replacement should be performed by an adult.

• Low Battery Indication: During flight, if the drone's LEDs flash slowly, it indicates a low battery. In this state, all actions will be declined, and the drone will land and power off.

• Crash Recovery: If the drone crashes and its blades stop rotating, simply place it back on a solid surface and restart it using the transmitter.

• Calibration: If the drone does not fly normally after hitting an obstacle, calibration may be necessary:

  1. Turn on the drone.
  2. Rotate it 180 degrees counterclockwise.
  3. Press the drone's center button twice.
  4. The two LED lights will flash, indicating calibration is in progress.
  5. Calibration is successfully completed when the lights stop flashing and become steady.

Safety Information

The manual includes important safety tips:

• The product is recommended for indoor use only in a barrier-free environment.
• Avoid flying near fans or open-air vents to prevent loss of control.
• Do not use the drone in damp or extreme sunlight conditions to protect electronic parts.
• Use only the provided USB cable for charging to avoid short-circuiting or battery damage.
• Do not touch the drone while it is flying or moving.
• Batteries are small parts and should not be accessible without a tool.
• The product contains a Button or Coin Cell Battery, which can cause severe internal chemical burns if swallowed. Dispose of used batteries immediately and keep new and used batteries away from children. Seek medical attention if a battery is suspected to have been swallowed or placed inside the body.

The device complies with Part 15 of the FCC Rules, ensuring it does not cause harmful interference and accepts any interference received. Users are advised to reorient or relocate the receiving antenna, increase separation between equipment and receiver, connect to a different circuit, or consult a dealer/technician if interference occurs. Any changes or modifications not expressly approved by the responsible party could void the user's authority to operate the equipment.
