- General Cleaning: Regularly clean with a cloth wrung out in hot soapy water, rinse, and polish dry with a soft cloth. Avoid caustic cleaners, abrasives, or washing soda. Do not plunge hot parts into water.
- Hob Cleaning: Pan supports, burner caps, and burner rings are removable for cleaning. Ensure spark electrodes and thermocouples are not damaged. Clean spills promptly. Wash removable parts in hot soapy water. Ensure electrode holes and slots are not blocked. Stubborn stains can be scoured with a soap-filled scrubbing pad.
- Grill and Oven Cleaning: Clean the oven cavity and door while slightly warm. Ensure shelf runner entrance holes are clear of spillage to prevent jamming. Grill and oven burners are self-cleaning and should not be cleaned manually to avoid blocking holes.
- Battery Replacement: The 1.5V AA battery for ignition is located at the bottom rear of the appliance. Unscrew the cover, replace the battery, ensuring the -ve end is held by the spring.
- Servicing: Annual servicing by a suitably qualified engineer is recommended. Unauthorized servicing will invalidate the warranty and could be dangerous.
- Gas System Checks: Regular checks of flexible hoses for cracks or deterioration. LPG system should be regularly tested for leakage using a bubble tester, pressure gauge, or leak detection fluid.
- Cylinder Changing: Specific safe practices for changing LPG cylinders are outlined, including turning off valves, ensuring firm and gas-tight joints, and checking for leaks without a naked flame.
- Ventilation: Ensure natural ventilation holes are open or a mechanical ventilation device is installed, especially during intensive use. The galley must be well ventilated.
