Overview

The BlueParrott B250-XTS is a wireless Bluetooth® headset designed for clear communication, particularly in noisy environments. It features advanced noise-canceling technology that reduces background noise by 95%, ensuring optimal sound quality for conversations. The headset supports wideband HD Voice and audio, enhancing call clarity, productivity, and safety.

Technical Specifications:

  • Noise Cancellation: 95% reduction of background noise.
  • Audio: Wideband HD Voice and audio.
  • Bluetooth: Bluetooth® enabled, supports A2DP for music players, GPS, and other Bluetooth devices.
  • Pairing: Can pair with up to 8 devices; connects to one at a time, or two in Multipoint Mode.
  • Battery Life: Over 20 hours of talk time on a full charge.
  • Charging Time: Approximately 3.5 hours for a full charge from a discharged battery.
  • Charging Port: USB charging.
  • Operating Temperature: Avoid temperatures exceeding 60°C (140°F).

Usage Features:

  • On/Off/Standby:
    • Power On: Hold the Multifunction Button (MFB) for 2-3 seconds until a "Power on" voice prompt is heard and the red light flashes once per second.
    • Standby Mode: After initial pairing, the headset attempts to connect to the last paired device. A quick press and release of the MFB can also put it into standby. A blue light flashes, and a "Your headset is connected" voice prompt indicates an active Bluetooth link.
    • Power Off: Hold the MFB for 4-5 seconds until a "Power off" voice prompt is heard. The red light flashes 4 times, and the headset turns off, conserving battery power.
  • Pairing:
    • Pairing with a Phone: Ensure the headset and phone are within 7.5 cm (3 in) to 1 m (3 ft) during pairing, and other Bluetooth devices are at least 15 m (50 ft) away or off. Turn the headset off, then hold the MFB until lights alternate red and blue or "Power On" and "Discovering" voice prompts are heard (up to 10 seconds). Enable Bluetooth search/scan mode on the phone, select "Pair" for the headset, and enter "0000" if prompted. A "Your headset is connected" voice prompt and a flashing blue light indicate successful pairing and standby mode.
    • Multiple Device Pairing: The headset can pair with up to 8 devices. When paired, it connects to the last paired device first. If that device is unavailable, it attempts to connect to the next in reverse pairing order.
    • Multipoint Mode: Allows pairing and switching between two Bluetooth devices simultaneously.
      • Enabling Multipoint Mode: Turn the headset on, then while pressing the MFB, quickly press the Volume Up and Volume Down buttons simultaneously. Four rising tones will be heard. Then, turn the headset off.
      • Pairing in Multipoint Mode: Pair the first Bluetooth device, then turn off both the device and headset. Repeat the pairing process for the second Bluetooth device, then turn off both the device and headset.
      • Using Multipoint Mode: Start with the headset off, turn on both Bluetooth devices, and ensure they are ready to accept the headset connection. Power on the headset. It will connect to both devices, with a "Your headset is connected" voice prompt for each successful connection.
    • Proximity Pairing: With the headset powered on, hold the MFB down and quickly press the Volume Down button. A "Discovering" voice prompt will be heard, and lights will alternate red and blue. The headset initiates pairing, and the user accepts the invitation on the phone, entering "0000" if required.
  • Call Management:
    • Making a Call: Ensure the headset is on and connected. Dial the phone or use the headset's Voice Dial function. Press the MFB quickly to end a call (two falling tones, enters Standby Mode).
    • Answering a Call: In Standby Mode, when the phone rings, ring tones will be heard in the headset. Quickly press and release the MFB to answer (two rising tones, MFB blinks blue). Quickly press the MFB to end a call (two falling tones, enters Standby Mode).
    • Last Number Redial: Press and hold the Volume Down button for approximately 1 second. A beep will be heard, and the phone will redial the last number.
    • Reject a Call: To reject an incoming call, press and hold the MFB for 2 seconds (two falling tones, call goes to voicemail if available).
    • Call Waiting/Rejecting a Call:
      • Accept Incoming Call (while on active call): Press the MFB twice to put the active call on hold and accept the incoming call.
      • Switch to Original Call: Quickly press the MFB once.
      • Reject Incoming Call (while on active call): Press and hold the MFB for 2 seconds (incoming call goes to voicemail).
  • Audio Controls:
    • Volume Increase: Quickly press and release the Volume Up/Mute button repeatedly until the desired volume is reached.
    • Volume Decrease: Quickly press and release the Volume Down button repeatedly until the desired volume is reached.
    • Microphone Mute/Unmute: While in standby or on a call, hold the Volume Up/Mute button for 2 seconds until a beep is heard. A mute reminder will sound every 10 seconds. Repeat the button press to unmute.
    • Voice Dial: Quickly press the MFB to open the phone's voice dialer. A tone will be heard. Speak the command clearly. Quickly press the MFB again to end Voice Dial.
    • Transfer Audio: To transfer audio from the headset to the cell phone during a call, press and hold the Volume Down button for 1-2 seconds. The headset light will turn off. Repeat to transfer audio back to the headset.
  • Indicator Lights:
    • Turn Headset Indicator Lights On/Off: Quickly press both the Volume Up and Volume Down buttons simultaneously to toggle the indicator lights. The lights will retain their last state when the headset is powered on again.

Maintenance Features:

  • Charging: Connect the USB charging cord to the headset and a suitable USB charger. The MFB indicator light turns green for a few seconds as it determines the battery level. If not fully charged, it turns RED within 3 minutes. It stays green when fully charged.
  • Battery Power Indicators (while charging):
    • Green light: Fully charged (over 20 hours talk time).
    • Red light: Less than a full charge.
  • Operation while using the Charger: The headset can operate from battery power or a USB power source. Do not attach the USB cable mid-call, as it will reset the headset and transfer the call to the phone. While charging, the MFB lights indicate battery charge status. If the headset is powered on while charging, it should reconnect automatically. Once fully charged, the MFB charge light will remain green, and the blue indicator light will also be on if the headset is powered on.
  • Reset Paired Devices List: With the headset on, hold it near your ear. Press and hold the Volume Up and Volume Down buttons simultaneously for 5-6 seconds until two low tones are heard. This will erase all previous pairing information, and the headset will need to be re-paired to devices.

Physical Features:

  • Flexible Microphone Boom: Stays in position for optimal sound quality.
  • Microphone Positioning: Position the microphone near the corner of the mouth. The word "TALK" embossed on the microphone housing should face the mouth for proper noise cancellation.
  • Adjustable Headband: Clicks into place for a custom, stable fit.
  • Lightweight Comfort: Designed for comfort and durability.
