Usage Features:

  • Parts Identification: The manual provides detailed diagrams and lists of components for different models, including table tops, coil covers, ice twister assemblies, freezer glass shelves, freezer knobs, easy slides, compartment temp sensors, multi-flow ducts, fridge glass shelves, crisper covers, vegetable tray assemblies, bottle shelves, snuggers, utility shelves, light switches, child locks, recess handles, light LEDs/bulbs, deodorizers, and control knobs/electronic control panels. Some models feature "Cool Shower technology" for liner glass shelves.
  • Installation: Requires a well-ventilated place with at least 6 inches of space on both sides for adequate circulation. A stopper bracket at the back needs to be opened. The refrigerator should be placed on a firm, level floor, away from direct sunlight and heat sources. It must be connected to a properly earthed 3-pin, 5-amp socket, and extension cords should be avoided.
  • First Steps: After plugging in and switching on, the appliance should be left ON for 24 hours before setting the desired temperature.
  • Temperature Control:
    • Mechanical Model: Temperature control knob in the lower compartment, fully clockwise on the max cool setting.
    • Basic Electronic Model: Temperature control knob clockwise on the max cool setting.
    • Top Electronic Model: Quick Freeze setting selected on the digital control panel at the top of the freezer compartment.
    • Main Compartment Settings: Recommended settings vary by season (Winter: 1-3 Mechanical, 1-2 Electronic; Monsoon: 3-5 Mechanical, 3-5 Electronic; Spring: 5-7 Mechanical, 5-6 Electronic; Summer: 7-Max Cool Mechanical, 6-7 Electronic).
  • Freezer Compartment: Used for making and storing ice, ice cream, frozen desserts, meats, poultry, fish, fruit pulp, and other frozen foods for 8-12 weeks. Features a separate ice tray section with two ice trays and an ice server. The twist & serve design allows for easy ice collection. The ice server can store cubes but should not be used for making ice to prevent cracking.
  • UI Display for Convertible Model: Features five different temperature settings for freezer, fridge, and Quick Freeze. LEDs indicate selected temperatures. Quick Freeze mode runs the compressor continuously for four hours.
  • Convertible Freezer Technology (6-in-1 Mode):
    1. Auto Mode (Default): Intelligently controls freezer temperature based on load.
    2. Low Load Mode: Reduces power consumption for lesser loaded freezers.
    3. Ice Cream Mode: Provides ideal freezer temperature for ice creams and desserts.
    4. High Load Mode: Ensures appropriate cooling when the fridge is loaded.
    5. Deep Freezer Mode: Preserves food at temperatures as low as -18°C.
    6. Cold Storage Freezer: Preserves food at temperatures as low as -24°C, ideal for meat.
    • Recommendation: Auto mode for normal use. High load, Deep Freezer, and Cold Storage Freezer modes are recommended for a maximum of 12 hours to prevent excessive cooling in the main compartment.
  • Convert Operation Modes (for specific models):
    • Mode 1 (Freezer/Fridge): Freezer temperature adjustable from -16°C to -21°C (default -18°C). Fridge temperature adjustable from 6°C to 1°C (default 3°C).
    • Mode 2 (Fridge/Fridge): Converts the entire refrigerator to fridge mode. Default temperature is 6°C in both compartments. Quick Freeze is deactivated.
    • Mode 3 (Fridge/Fridge Off): Fridge compartment is off, freezer acts as a fridge (default 6°C).
    • Mode 4 (Freezer/Fridge Off): Fridge compartment is off, freezer acts as a freezer (default -16°C).
    • Caution: Remove frozen food before enabling fridge convert mode, and remove fridge food before disabling freezer convert mode to prevent spoilage or freezing. Do not store liquid glass bottles in the freezer compartment.
  • Food Storage Suggestions:
    • Store fresh food.
    • Freeze meat in bigger pieces.
    • Pack frozen foods in containers, polythene bags, or aluminum foil.
    • Wrap bread, cake, and pastries properly.
    • Store butter, margarine, and fats in original wrappings or covered containers.
    • Wrap vegetables, especially leafy ones, in polythene bags.
    • Wrap fruits and vegetables with strong odors tightly.
    • Do not wash certain vegetables (beans, lady fingers) before storing.
    • Mushrooms, melons, and peaches can only be chilled.
    • Drain washed fruits and vegetables completely before storing.
    • Cool hot food to room temperature before storing.
    • Ginger, garlic, and red chili paste can stay in the freezer for 15-20 days.
    • Chutneys can be kept for 3-4 days.
    • Store ice creams in the freezer with max settings.
    • Tightly cap bottles containing water and other liquids.
    • Unopened canned food does not need refrigeration.

  • Fully Automatic Defrosting: The refrigerator defrosts both compartments automatically using a 'Defrost Heater' during a 'Defrost Cycle'. Defrost water drains into an evaporation pan above the compressor and evaporates automatically.
  • Cleaning: Complete defrosting and cleaning are advised once a month.
    • Switch off and unplug the refrigerator.
    • Remove all food and trays.
    • Wipe gently with a soft cloth and mild soap.
    • Prevent water from entering LED and electrical components.
    • Ensure the fridge is dry before restarting.
    • Clean exteriors with warm, soapy water and wipe dry.
    • Keep surroundings insect-free; do not spray chemicals or insecticides inside.
    • Keep the exterior dry to prevent rusting, especially the lower front edge and bottom surfaces of the door.
    • Clean the water evaporation pan periodically.
  • Before Calling for Service: Check if the power plug is connected, fuse is intact, power supply is normal, and temperature control is set correctly.
  • LED Light Replacement: Switch off, unplug, slide the LED to the left, pull out, and fit the new LED PCB.
  • Moving Out / Shifting:
    • For short absences (less than a week), do not switch off.
    • For long breaks, switch off, unplug, remove food, defrost, clean, and leave the door slightly open to prevent smell.
    • For moving house, a Godrej service representative or authorized dealer must inspect the refrigerator at the time of re-installation to maintain warranty validity.

Safety Precautions:
