Why is my Goldair GBQC100 flaring up?
    • A
      Adam ReedAug 16, 2025
If the Goldair Grill experiences a flare-up, it could be due to grease buildup. In this case, clean the grill. Alternatively, excessive fat in the meat might be the cause, so trim the fat before grilling. Lastly, check for excessive cooking temperature and adjust it accordingly by lowering the temperature.

How to fix Goldair GBQC100 burner that won't light with ignition?
    • A
      Alexa AlvaradoAug 19, 2025
If the burner(s) on your Goldair Grill won't light using the ignition, several factors could be at play. The wire or electrode might be covered with cooking residue; if so, clean them with rubbing alcohol and a clean swab. The electrode could be cracked or broken, necessitating replacement. Ensure the electrode tip is correctly positioned, reconnecting wires or replacing the electrode/wire assembly if needed. Check for loose or disconnected wires, reconnecting them or replacing the assembly. Wires shorting between the ignition and electrode require replacement of the ignition wire/electrode assembly. Finally, a dead battery will prevent ignition, so replace it with a new AA battery.

What to do if Goldair Grill has no spark and no noise from module?
    • J
      Jennifer WatsonAug 22, 2025
If no sparks appear at any electrodes when the ignition button is pushed on your Goldair Grill and no noise is heard from the spark module, ensure the battery is installed correctly with the '+' end up and '-' end down. Replace the battery with a new AA-size alkaline battery if it's dead. Check the button assembly installation, unscrewing and reinstalling it to ensure the threads are aligned and fully engaged. A faulty spark module may also be the cause, requiring replacement of the spark module assembly.

      Nathan RiveraAug 26, 2025
If you experience a sudden drop in gas flow or low flame on your Goldair Grill, check for gas in the ULPG tank to ensure you're not out of gas. Also, the excess flow valve may have tripped; if so, turn off the knobs, wait 30 seconds, and then try lighting the grill.

What to do if Goldair GBQC100 Grill burner won't light with match?
    • J
      James YoungAug 28, 2025
If the burner(s) on your Goldair Grill won't light using a match stick, first check to see if the ULPG tank is empty. If not, ensure the coupling nut and regulator are fully connected by turning the coupling nut until it reaches a solid stop. Obstructions in the gas flow may also be the issue, so clear the burner tubes. Additionally, check for disengagement of the burner to valve and reengage if necessary. Finally, confirm that the grill is assembled correctly by checking the steps in the assembly instructions.

Why do the flames keep blowing out on my Goldair GBQC100 Grill?
    • A
      Ashley GomezAug 31, 2025
If flames blow out on your Goldair Grill, it could be due to high or gusting winds; turn the front of the grill to face the wind or increase the flame height. It may also be caused by low ULPG gas, so refill the ULPG tank. Additionally, the excess flow valve might have tripped; refer to the section addressing sudden drops in gas flow for guidance.

Why are sparks weak on my Goldair GBQC100?
    • J
      jasminelopezSep 3, 2025
If sparks are present but not at all electrodes or not at full strength on your Goldair Grill, start by removing and reconnecting all output connections at the module and electrodes. If sparks are observed away from the burners, the wire insulation may be damaged, requiring wire replacement. A weak battery can also cause this issue, so replace it with a new AA-size alkaline battery. Ensure electrodes are dry by using a paper towel to remove any moisture. Lastly, cracked or broken electrodes may cause this; replace them if necessary.

What to do if Goldair GBQC100 has no spark but noise from module?
    • M
      Mary OlsonSep 6, 2025
If no sparks appear at any electrodes when the ignition switch is pushed on your Goldair Grill, but noise can be heard from the spark module, it indicates that the output lead connections are not completed. Remove and reconnect all output connections at the module and electrodes to resolve this issue.

    • L
      Lisa JacksonSep 9, 2025
If you experience a flashback (fire in burner tube(s)) on your Goldair Grill, it's likely that the burner and/or burner tubes are blocked. Turn the knobs to the OFF position and then clean the burner and/or burner tubes to resolve this issue.

What causes persistent grease fire in Goldair GBQC100?
    • S
      Stephen AllenSep 12, 2025
If you have a persistent grease fire in your Goldair Grill, it's likely due to grease trapped by food buildup around the burner system. To address this, turn the knobs to the OFF position and turn the gas off at the ULPG tank. Leave the lid in position and let the fire burn out. After the grill cools, remove and clean all parts.
