How the A24 Trap Works

Lure Taster Installation

Choose Up to 6 Locations

Select up to six locations around your property, about 20 ft apart, to install Lure Tasters.

Fold the Lure Taster in Half

Fold the Lure Taster card with the orange side facing out to release the lure.

Pin the Lure Taster to Your Surface

Secure Lure Tasters 5 inches off the ground, allowing rodents access to the card.

Check After 3 Nights

Look for bite marks on Lure Tasters to identify safe feeding locations for trap placement.

A24 Trap Stand Installation

Open the Stand Lock

Unclip the orange Stand Lock by pressing the tab backwards.

Attach the A24 to the Trap Stand

Guide the trap's slot onto the stand's upper tab and ease it into the lower locking tab.

Clip in the Stand Lock

Secure the A24 to the stand by closing the orange Stand Lock until it clicks.

Removing the A24 from the Trap Stand

De-gas the trap first, then open the stand lock and pull the trap up.

A24 Trap Mount Installation

Separate the Trap Mount from the A24

Press the Black Tabs inwards and ease the Trap Mount off the Trap Body.

Attach the Trap Mount

Screw the Trap Mount 5 inches above ground onto a tree or post, do not overtighten.

Click the A24 onto the Trap Mount

Tilt the trap backwards and lower it onto the mount's top locking tab until it clicks.

Secure Your A24 Trap

Ensure the trap is clicked in and the mount is securely screwed to the post.

Gas and Lure Installation

Power Up Your A24

Remove the gas canister cap and screw it firmly into the trap, hand-tightening only.

Attach the Digital Strike Counter

Wet the strap for lubrication and screw the Counter counter-clockwise onto the canister.

Zeroing and Checking the Counter

Press and hold the button to zero the Counter; press briefly to check the kill tally.

Test-Fire Your A24

Push the trigger with a pen/twig to fire and retract the striker; keep hands clear.

Activate the Automatic Lure Pump (ALP)

Remove the coin from the ALP to activate lure dispensing for 6 months.

Nest the ALP into the Shroud Cap

Shape the ALP into the Shroud Cap and align edges; wipe excess lure as pre-feed.

Secure the Shroud Cap and ALP

Place the Shroud Cap with ALP into the Lure Cradle and screw it in, then secure the cap.

Replace Gas and ALP Every 6 Months

Replace the Gas Canister and ALP every 6 months to ensure trap effectiveness and power.

Moving Your A24 Safely

De-gas Your A24

Unscrew the gas canister (with a cloth) to deplete remaining gas; be careful of freezing.

Remove the Final Charge from the A24

Test-fire the trap by pushing the trigger until all gas is flushed out.

Detach the A24 from the Trap Mount

Squeeze black tabs and pull the trap upwards to detach it from the Trap Mount.

EC Declaration of Conformity of Machinery

Declaration stating the product meets Machinery Directive requirements.

General Warnings

Important safety precautions, including using correct parts and handling the trap safely.
