Usage Features:

  • Installation Flexibility: The battery system can be floor-mounted or wall-mounted. For wall mounting, two persons are required. It requires a stable and flat surface with sufficient bearing capacity.
  • Scalability: Up to six battery units can be connected in parallel, allowing for flexible system sizing based on energy needs. When connecting multiple batteries, it is recommended to select batteries with similar production dates and cell grades.
  • Communication: The system communicates via CAN (and RS485 for LX U5.4-20) for seamless integration with compatible inverters. Communication cables are connected in series for multiple batteries, with a terminal resistor at the end of the chain.
  • Power On/Off Procedures: Specific steps are provided for powering on and off the system, including activating circuit breakers and pressing switch buttons. For parallel connections, only one battery's button needs to be pressed to activate the system.
  • Indicator Status: The battery system features SOC (State of Charge) indicators and a button indicator to display its operational status (Normal, Alerting, Faulty).
    • Normal State: Green light indicates standby, working, or alert. SOC is indicated by a series of lights, from <5% to ≥95%.
    • Alerting State: Green light blinking for 3 seconds indicates various alerts such as temperature exceptions, overcurrent, undervoltage, or cell voltage differences. Solutions typically involve restarting the battery or contacting GoodWe.
    • Faulty State: Red light blinking for 3 seconds indicates faults such as temperature sensor failure, MOS failure, circuit-breaker failure, communication loss, or inconsistent software version. Solutions involve checking connections, restarting, or contacting GoodWe.
  • Parameter Settings: Battery parameters can be configured via the PV Master app after connecting the battery and inverter. It is crucial to select the correct battery model to avoid "Battery Selection Abnormal" errors.
  • Safety Precautions: The manual emphasizes strict adherence to safety guidelines, including powering off before operations, using trained personnel for installation, avoiding damaged units, and not disassembling the battery. It also provides instructions for handling leaked substances and fire safety.

Maintenance Features:

  • Regular Checks:
    • Every 3 months: Fully charge and discharge the battery to 25~50% if not in use.
    • Every 6 months:
      • Check the wall mounting plate for security.
