This document describes the Gorenje SB800XG food processor, a versatile kitchen appliance designed for household use.
The Gorenje SB800XG is a multi-functional food processor capable of performing various tasks including chopping, kneading, slicing, shredding, and juicing. It comes with several attachments to facilitate these functions:
The appliance features a motor unit with a speed control knob, allowing users to select the desired speed for different tasks. A safety lock system is integrated to prevent operation if the food processor is not assembled correctly.

General Operation: Before inserting or removing any attachments or cleaning, ensure the appliance is unplugged and the control knob is in the "OFF" position. Never touch moving parts. The motor unit, power cord, or plug should never be immersed in water or any other liquid to prevent electric shock. Close supervision is necessary when the appliance is used by or near children. Do not operate the appliance with a damaged cord or plug, or if it malfunctions or has been dropped or damaged. In such cases, return it to the nearest authorized service center for inspection, repair, or electrical/mechanical adjustment.
Chopper: To use the chopper, first correctly place the motor shaft on the motor unit. Then, align the chopper bowl with the motor unit's marks and rotate it clockwise until it clicks into place. Insert the chopping blade onto the shaft inside the bowl. For dough preparation, use the kneading attachment instead of the chopping blade. Add ingredients only after the blade is in place. Ensure the lid is securely closed before operating. Always use the food pusher to add ingredients, never your hands. The blades are sharp, so handle them with extreme care, holding them by the plastic part. Do not leave the appliance unattended during operation.
Slicing/Shredding with Discs: The procedure for using the circular blades (discs) is similar to the chopper. Select the desired disc based on the food preparation required. Handle the sharp blades carefully. Never place the discs on the base without the bowl securely in place.
Blender: Place the blender jug on the motor unit and rotate it clockwise until it locks. Remove the lid by pulling it upwards. Add ingredients, ensuring not to exceed the maximum fill mark. Securely replace the lid. Align the cap's tabs with the slots in the lid opening, place the cap over the opening, and rotate it clockwise. Do not operate the blender without the cap. To add ingredients while the motor is running, unlock and lift the cap, add ingredients through the opening, then replace and lock the cap. To remove the jug, rotate it counter-clockwise and lift it from the motor unit. When blending hot liquids, remove the center piece of the two-piece cover.
Juicer: Assemble the juicer as shown in the manual's initial diagrams. Place the assembled juicer bowl on the motor unit, aligning the marks, and rotate clockwise until it clicks. The juicer will not operate if not properly attached. After each use, switch the ON/OFF switch to "OFF." Before disassembling, ensure the motor has completely stopped and the appliance is unplugged. During use, periodically switch off the appliance and remove fruit pulp from the filter with a spatula. Always use the food pusher to add fruits or vegetables to prevent injury or damage. Do not use the appliance if the juicer filter is damaged or broken.
Safety Lock: The SB800XG is equipped with a safety interlock system that prevents operation if the food processor is not correctly assembled. When selecting an accessory, ensure it is correctly positioned on the motor unit. Only one accessory can be used at a time. Align the marks on the motor unit and the selected accessory, then rotate clockwise until you hear a "click." To remove, rotate counter-clockwise.
Cleaning: Always ensure the appliance is unplugged and the control knob is in the "OFF" position before cleaning. Never immerse the motor unit, cord, or plug in water. Clean the motor housing with a damp cloth only. Stainless steel blades are dishwasher safe. All other parts can be washed in warm soapy water using a regular liquid detergent.
Blender Cleaning: Fill the blender jug with warm water and a small amount of detergent. Secure the lid. Run the blender at maximum speed for 30 seconds. Rinse and repeat if necessary.
Environmental Protection: At the end of its useful life, the appliance should not be disposed of with normal household waste. Instead, hand it in at an official collection point for recycling. This helps to preserve the environment.
