STEP 1: ATTACHING T-NUTS TO THE CORNER POSTS
1: THIS STEP IS CRITICAL TO BUILDING THE FORT PROPERLY. IF ANY MISTAKES ARE MADE HERE, YOU WILL NEED TO
DIS-ASSEMBLE AND THEN RE-ASSEMBLE TO MAKE YOUR CORRECTIONS.
2: MAKE SURE HOLES ARE FREE OF ANY OBSTRUCTIONS. USE A BOLT TO CLEAN OUT ANY DEBRIS.
3: LAY OUT EACH OF THE 4 X 4 X 96" CORNER POSTS IN THE AREA YOU INTEND ON BUILDING THE FORT.
4: USE THE DIAGRAM BELOW TO CORRECTLY IDENTIFY AND ORIENT THE NECESSARY DIRECTION THE POSTS
SHOULD FACE.
5: USE A HAMMER TO SEAT THE T-NUTS AFTER INSERTING THEM INTO THE HOLES SHOWN IN THE DIAGRAM BELOW.
6: THE BARREL OF THE T-NUT SHOULD GO IN THE HOLE FIRST. HAMMER THE T-NUT UNTIL IT IS FLUSH/ALMOST FLUSH
TO THE CORNER POSTS.

Install Carriage Bolt with Torque Washer

Place the 2x4 rear top panel board on rear corner posts; holes offset up.

Leveling the Play Set and Installing Lags

Level and Square the Frame

Place frame in final position, level, and square it with assistance.

Install Remaining Lag Screws

Once leveled, insert lag screws in all remaining 2x6 board holes.

Installing Angle Supports

Mount Side Angle Supports

Mount four 2x4x13 angle supports under the deck on sides to bottom panel boards.

Attach Side Angle Supports to Deck

Use 2.5" wood screws to attach angle supports to deck supports and corner posts.

Mount four 2x4x18 angle supports under the deck on front/rear to deck supports.

Use 2.5" wood screws to attach angle supports to deck supports and corner posts.

Attaching Bottom Panel Boards

Attach End Panel Board

Place 2x4x47.5" end panel board on 2x6 board, fasten to corner posts with lag screws.

Attach Bottom Panel Board

Place 2x4x14" bottom panel board on 2x6 board, fasten to corner posts with lag screws.

Installing Deck Spacers

Attach Deck Spacers to Fort

Place deck spacers between corner posts, flush to inside of 2x6 or outside of corner posts.

Installing Center Deck Support

Attach Deck Spacers to Center Support

Use 2" wood screws to attach deck spacers to the center deck support.

Position Center Deck Support

Center the 2x4x70" support on marks and push flush to deck boards.

Secure Center Deck Support

Use two 2.5" wood screws to secure the support through the 2x6 and into the support end.

Installing Deck Boards

Install Deck Boards

Start with one deck board, center it, and attach with 2" wood screws; ensure uniform spacing.

Preparing the Rock Wall

Install T-Nuts in Rock Wall Sides

Hammer 5/16" T-nuts into the inside of the rock wall sides.

Assembling the Rock Wall

Attach First Rock Wall Board

Place the first board flush to the top of the rock wall sides and attach with 2" wood screws.

Attach Remaining Rock Wall Boards

Continue attaching boards down the wall with two 2" wood screws per end.

Attach Bottom Rock Wall Board

Attach the final board, the bottom one with one hole, using two 2" wood screws per side.

Fasten 90° green brackets to rock wall sides using 5/16x1.5" hex bolts and washers.

Mounting Climbing Rocks

Mount Climbing Rocks

Mount rocks in a staggered manner, securing each with three pan head screws and washers.

Attach Rock Wall Top Cap

Place the 5/4x3x23.75" rock wall top cap on the sides and fasten with 2" wood screws.

Attaching the Rock Wall to Fort

Position Rock Wall on Fort

Place the rock wall on the front-right of the fort; green brackets 0.75" above bottom panel board.

Install T-Nut for Rock Wall Attachment

Go underneath the deck to insert a T-nut into the backside of the 3/8" holes in the front face board.

Fasten Rock Wall to Fort

Attach the rock wall using 5/16x1.5" bolts and 5/16" washers.

Tighten Rock Wall Bolts

When brackets are secure and wall is positioned, tighten the 5/16x1.5" bolts on the rock wall sides.

Place a 2x4x18.75" support board 1" from the square end; attach with 2.5" screws.
