  If food keeps falling through the spaces between the grill bars of your Gotham Steel Grill, cut ingredients into larger pieces. Avoid placing small pieces of food on the grill surface to prevent them from falling into the drip tray during cooking. If pieces fall through, turn off the grill, let it cool, and then carefully lift the grill plate to remove the food pieces. Remember that the grill plate and drip tray will be hot, so let them cool off before cleaning.
