Fault description Possible cause Troubleshooting
The seat changes its position during
operation:
• Seat lowers down
• Seat moves up by itself
• Seat oscillates
• Air spring is leaky.
• Air leaks at the valve tappet.
Check the air spring (Chapter 2.4,
step no. 3.1).
Replace the level control
(Chapter 3.38).
Seat moves up or down, but it automatically
returns to its original position.
• Level control is defective. Check leveli
ng valve and level control
(Chapter 2.4, inspection steps 1.1
and 2.1).
Seat does not respond when pressing the
button for quick lowering of the seat.
• Bowden pull wire for quick lowering of
the seat is torn (quick lowering of the
seat does not operate).
• Button for quick lowering of the seat is
defective.
• Level control is defective.
Replace the Bowden pull wire for the
quick lowering of the seat (see
Chapter 3.7).
Replace the button for the quick
lowering of the seat (see
Chapter 3.7).
