Troubleshooting
Problem Possible Causes Likely Solutions
Unit will not heat
up. Power Indicator
Light or Steam
Indicator Light do
not come on.
1. Cord not connected.
2. No power at outlet.
3. Unit’s thermal overload tripped.
4. Internal damage or wear.
1. Check that cord is plugged in.
2. Check power at outlet. If outlet is unpowered,
turn off Unit and check circuit breaker.
If breaker is tripped, make sure circuit is right
capacity for Unit and circuit has no other loads.
3. Unplug Unit and allow to cool for 20 minutes.
After cooled, plug in Unit and continue use.
4. Have technician service Unit.
Steam output
is weak.
1. Water level is low.
2. Mineral build up in tank.
1. Refill according to Note: Tank will need to
be refilled when steam flow decreases.
See Filling Tank on page 5.
2. Descale tank according to Cleaning,
Maintenance, and Lubrication on page 8.
Excessive water
in steam.
1. Tank overfilled.
2. Unit not heated fully.
1. Fill tank according to Filling Tank on page 5.
Only use included measuring cup to fill tank.
2. Wait until Steam Light turns on.
Follow all safety precautions whenever diagnosing or servicing the appliance.
Disconnect power supply before service.
