Usage Features

The charger is suitable for lithium-ion power batteries, providing energy output greater than the rated power and maintaining high output voltage and current accuracy. The display is the primary man-machine interface for the charger, showing the state of charge, battery pack status, fault status, etc.

Installation: The 40kW charger is designed for ground installation, requiring a reliable and fastened foundation. The suggested installation size for embedded 4-M12 bolts is 475x230mm. Drainage measures should be in place to prevent immersion. A 2-meter clearance on the left and right sides is required for heat dissipation, and sufficient space in front for operation. The vertical inclination after fastening should be less than 5%, with a nut tightening torque of 28.5N·m. The operation site should avoid direct sunlight; an outdoor shade (rain-proof) shed should be added. Electrical installation must be performed by professional technicians. The AC input uses a three-phase five-wire system, and connections must follow inlet notes, ensuring the zero line and phase are not reversed to prevent unrecoverable faults.

Operation: Operators must receive DC charger operation training and hold relevant certificates. During operation, a uniform and insulation shoes must be worn, and long-haired staff should wear safety helmets. Before powering on, a thorough inspection is required to check for electrical damage, loose parts, and proper crimping of connection terminals. The front gate of the cabinet should be opened to switch the breaker to ON and test the air switch of the control circuit for short circuits. After the AC incoming line is powered on, the emergency stop button should be pressed, then the breaker and air switch tested with a multi-meter. Charging connectors, charging socket insulators, pin, and pin hole should be clean and free of foreign matter.

Charging System Introduction: The charger performs a self-check upon power-on. The main interface (Figure 2-4) displays 7 charging modes: automatic charging, time charging, energy charging, and SOC charging. The user can select different modes.

  • Automatic Charging: Click "automatic charging," then "continue" to enter the connector position choice page, then the charging parameter choice page.
  • Money Charging: Operators can choose "money charging" on the main page, set the charging amount, click "continue," and select the connector position and charging parameter.
  • Energy Charging: Operators can choose "energy charging" on the main page, set the electricity setting, click "continue," and select the connector position and charging parameter.
  • Reservation Charging: If time charging is off, operators can choose "reservation charging" on the main page, set start time and duration, click "continue," and select the connector position and charging parameter. Charging starts at the set time and stops automatically when the duration is reached. If time charging is on, reservation charging cannot be used.
  • SOC Charging: Operators can choose "SOC" charging on the main page, set the vehicle battery SOC when charging is over, click "continue," and select the connector position and charging parameter. Charging stops automatically when the set SOC is reached.

System Function Introduction: Clicking "system" on the main page leads to the system setting page (Figure 2-14), which includes password setting, position orientation, electricity bill setting, date setting, function setting, communication parameter, fault record, charging record, and screen luminance (9 functions). The electricity bill setting allows customers to set prices for tip, peak, flat, and cereal periods within 24 hours.

Charging Mode Introduction: The charger supports two-connector alternate charging, where each connector outputs at its rated power. If connector A is charging, after it finishes, the system automatically charges connector B.

Calibration Interface: The charger interface should be calibrated regularly (monthly or every two weeks for frequent users) to prevent screen shift and ensure a good operating experience. Calibration can be performed via a hidden interface accessible by clicking any screen interface or through the "System Interface" for after-sales personnel.

Maintenance Features

User daily maintenance ensures the charger remains in good condition.

  • Dust Inspection and Cleaning: Regularly check for dust inside the cabinet and clean it to prevent insulation property degradation. This involves opening the front and side doors to clean wind inlets and outlets. After cutting off power, use a vacuum cleaner or air compressor to clean the cabinet bottom, side door, and spare parts.
  • Ground Wire Check: Regularly check that the ground wire is reliably grounded.
  • Cooling Fan Check: Regularly check if the cooling fan is working normally. If damaged, replace it with a fan of the same model.
  • Ventilation Condition: Clean the dust screen of the side door regularly (every three months, or more frequently in severe environments). Open the left side door, remove the black filter, and clean the ventilating shutter and metal dust screen with water. Open the right side door, remove the thumbscrew fastening fan, open fan parts, and clean the black filter, ventilating shutter, and metal dust screen with water. After cleaning, install the metal dust screen, ventilating shutter, and black filter, then lock with screws.
  • Charging Connection Cable and Winding Pile: Regularly check for aging, corrosion, or looseness. Replace if necessary to ensure safe application.
  • Surge Protector and Cable Line: Check for aging and corrosion.
  • Charging Connector and Cable: When idle, the charging connector should be covered with a dust cover or inserted into the charger's socket to prevent foreign matter. Clean the charging connector and socket weekly with a high-pressure air gun or brush. If unavailable, use a non-dust cloth or swab. If the connector is abandoned or falls on the ground, it should be cleaned thoroughly.

Storage: Well-packed equipment should be stored in a well-ventilated area with temperatures between -35℃ and 55℃, and a monthly average relative humidity of less than 90%. Storage places must be free of corrosive and explosive gases and protected from rain, exposure, condensation, and frost. Storage period varies by environment:

  • Category I Environment (Limited): 1 year
  • Category II Environment (Limited): 0.8 years
  • Category III Environment (Limited): 0.5 years Corrosive products are forbidden in the same storage area.

Warranty

The warranty covers products with defects caused by incorrect use, repaired within the warranty period from the date of purchase. It also covers issues arising from improper installation or use not in accordance with the operation manual, resulting in quality problems not covered by the warranty. The warranty does not cover:

  • Chargers installed in natural environments without protection, or used in extreme weather conditions (heavy rain, hail, blizzard).
  • Product problems caused by directly removing the charging gun without first stopping the charging.
  • Disassembly and modification of the charger without communicating with the company or without permission, resulting in product problems.

Important Note: Non-professionals are not allowed to dismantle equipment assembly.
