Overview

This document outlines the installation, usage, and maintenance of a Gre brand swimming pool, specifically the KPBRC620 model, with dimensions of 6.18 x 3.20 x 1.30m. The manual is provided in multiple languages, including English, Spanish, French, German, Italian, Dutch, and Portuguese.

Function Description:

The Gre KPBRC620 pool is a wooden-structured swimming pool designed for family use. It can be installed in three ways: above ground, semi-in-ground, or fully in-ground. The pool kit includes all necessary components for assembly, including the wooden structure, liner, filtration system, and a wooden set of steps. The primary function of the pool is for recreational swimming, with a focus on safety and proper water treatment to ensure a clean and healthy environment.

Important Technical Specifications:

  • Pool Model: KPBRC620 MANGO
  • Dimensions: 6.18 x 3.20 x 1.30m (Length x Width x Height)
  • Wood Type: Sylvester pine, treated with class IV autoclave. This treatment provides a 10-year guarantee against rot and insect attack for parts in contact with the ground.
  • Liner: PVC liner with a 2-year guarantee for seams and water tightness under normal use.
  • Filtration System: Includes a pump and filter. The pump has a 2-year guarantee for electrical problems under normal use. The filter group should be located at least 3.5 meters from the pool edge and ideally at floor level.
  • Electrical Requirements: Any 220V electrical appliance must be located at least 3.50m from the pool edge and connected to an earthed network with a residual current device (RCD) not exceeding 30mA.
  • Concrete Slab (if applicable): For semi-in-ground or fully in-ground installations, a reinforced concrete foundation slab (350 kg/m³ standardized type C125 430) of at least 15cm thickness is required.
  • Concrete Sleepers (if applicable): For stable terrain, concrete sleepers can be used instead of a full concrete slab. Dimensions for sleepers are YA= 421x50x15cm and YB= 718x50x15cm.
  • Wooden Stepladder: Admitted maximum weight of 150 kg. It is compulsory to remove the stepladder after using the pool.
  • Loose Parts Availability: Available for 5 years from the product invoicing date.

Usage Features:

  • Installation Flexibility: The pool can be installed above ground, semi-in-ground, or fully in-ground, offering adaptability to different preferences and terrain types.
  • Wood as a Living Material: The wood used is a natural product, and minor imperfections like fissures, knots, and resin secretion are normal and do not affect the wood's resistance or durability. Wood is malleable and can experience dimensional variations with humidity and temperature changes.
  • Liner Installation: The liner should be installed at a room temperature of at least 20°C and an external temperature of at least 15°C. It is recommended to expose the liner to the sun for a few hours before assembly to make it more flexible. The liner's serial number sticker must be retained for warranty claims.
  • Skimmer Positioning: The skimmer, which is the water suction point for the filter, should be positioned facing the prevailing winds to optimize the collection of surface residues like dust and leaves.
  • Refilling Fitting: Used to introduce filtered water into the pool. It passes through a pre-cut hole in the wall.
  • Safety Pictograms: The manual includes pictograms that must be displayed in a prominent position within 2 meters of the pool, indicating safety rules such as "No diving headfirst," "No walking on the edge," and "Children in danger without supervision."
  • Warranty: A comprehensive warranty covers the wood (10 years against rot and insects), liner (2 years for seams and water tightness), stainless steel stepladder (2 years, excluding salt electrolysis filtration), and filter group (2 years for electrical problems). Specific conditions and exclusions apply, such as damages from improper handling or non-compliant installation.

Maintenance Features:

  • Regular Filtration: The filtration system should be operated daily for a sufficient duration to ensure complete water volume renewal. The theoretical filtering time is calculated as (Water Temperature / 2) hours.
  • Filter Cleaning: The filter needs cleaning when the pressure increases by 0.2 bar above the starting pressure. The manual details a multi-directional flap operation sequence for WASH and RINSE positions.
  • Pool Cleaning: Manual pool cleaners can be used to clean the bottom and sides of the pool. It is important to move the cleaner slowly to avoid stirring up dirt and to clean the filter after pool cleaning.
  • Water Treatment: Chemical treatment is essential to destroy bacteria, microorganisms, and prevent algae. pH levels (ideally 7.2-7.4) and chlorine levels (0.5-2 ppm) must be regularly checked and adjusted using appropriate products. Algicides are recommended to prevent algae.
  • Winterization: For winter, the water level should be reduced (5cm below the skimmer for pools with skimmer and refilling pipe, or 20cm below the superior edge for pools with exhaustion and refilling pipes). Pipes should be disconnected, and the pool should be covered with a winter cover and a floating element to protect against frost. The filter should be disconnected, cleaned, emptied of sand/cartridge, dried, and stored in a covered, dry place. All accessories should be removed, cleaned, and stored.
  • Environmental Responsibility: The manual emphasizes reusing water if the pool is disassembled and sorting and recycling all packaging materials after installation.
  • Surface Maintenance: Regular cleaning of the PVC liner and the water level mark with non-abrasive products is recommended. Folds where dirt accumulates should be cleaned periodically. Small holes in the liner can be repaired with rubber patches.
  • Wood Hydration: After a few months, it is recommended to apply a water-based dye to hydrate the wood, especially on the edges, to reduce the appearance of fissures. The product used must be suitable for Autoclave 4 treated wood.
