Why is my Great Land 1P56F Lawn Mower hard starting?
    • D
      Dr. Caitlin ZimmermanAug 3, 2025
There are several reasons why your Great Land Lawn Mower might be hard to start. It could be due to no fuel, stale fuel or build-ups in the tank, a disconnected spark plug, dirty electrodes or an incorrect gap, a clogged air filter, incorrect oil for the season, fuel evaporation in the carburetor due to high temperatures (vapor lock), or a fault in carburation. Check the fuel level and top up if necessary. If the fuel is stale, empty the tank and refill with fresh fuel. Ensure the spark plug cap fits well over the plug terminals. If the electrodes are dirty, clean them. Also, inspect the air filter and clean it if it's clogged. Replace the oil with the proper oil for the season. If it is vapor lock, wait a few minutes, then start again.
