1. USE OF THE GT ECO REMOTE SYSTEM
The GT System can be used almost like any normal water toilet. Toilet paper can be thrown into the toilet, as it composts together with the
waste. However, any items containing plastic, e.g. sanitary towels must be placed into a separate bin. Flushing of baby wipes must be avoided
as it may foul the vacuum valves of the vacuum flush unit!
Toilet Paper:
Either single ply, two ply, marine toilet paper or bio-degradable toilet paper should be used. To test suitability, submerge toilet paper in water
for a few seconds & shake. If the toilet paper disintegrates, the toilet paper is suitable.
If blocking of the pedestal occurs, please contact us for advice. Unit can be unblocked by pressing the ‘service’ button at the flush panel to
open the ball valve and encouraging the blockage to be sucked through with a round ended wooden stick (old cooking spoon).
Changing Flush Modes:
VacuFlush all-ceramic toilets offer two flush settings to help manage water consumption:
Normal flush – Uses 0.95 liter per flush. Adds water to bowl after every flush.
Dry Bowl flush – Uses 0.5 liter per flush. Does not add water to bowl after flush.
To change from Normal to Dry Bowl flush setting, press “Flush” switch for about five seconds. When green “OK to Flush” light on status panel
begins flashing, release “Flush” switch. Flush mode has been changed to Dry Bowl setting. Change mode to Normal flush by following the same
procedure.
Carbon Rich Bulking Material:
Once a week add one liter of covering material (peat, or wood shavings) per person full time usage equivalent through the access opening at
the composting container.
After the first week add one cup of compost bacteria (biodegrader) as well as also just before retiring the compost container.
