3. Remove the fuel ller cap (rotate left).
4. Using a funnel, carefully ll the tank with fuel. Do not ll above the top of the strainer (if equipped) or
otherwise it will overll the tank.
5. When nished, re-install (rotate right) the fuel ller cap until rm. Wipe away any residual fuel from the
machine. If fuel has been spilt, move the machine away from the spillage before starting the engine.
Fuel is highly ammable. Take the following precautions into account:
Keep fuel in a special container for this purpose.
Fill the tank with a funnel.
Always rell fuel outdoors.
Do not smoke whilst fuel lling.
Never open the fuel tank cap when the engine is hot or running.
Do not start the engine if there are traces of petrol in the area. Move the machine away from the fuel spillage
before starting it and avoid any contact with a hot source.
SPARK PLUG
The spark plug may come disconnected from the spark plug lead. If this is the case, place the electric lead over the
spark plug terminal and push it down so that it connects rmly with the terminal.
ENGINE STARTING AND STOPPING
STARTING THE ENGINE
1. For manual starting, pull the starter handle towards the top handle
about 10-15cm until you feel a resistance and then start the engine
with a strong pull. If the engine is cold, press the choke 3-5 times.
Pull the locking/unlocking lever towards the upper handle and hold
it against the upper handle.
2. Once the engine is running put the starter rope into the cable guide.
ATTENTION: The mower motor will start working as soon
as the starter cord is pulled. Note that the machine does
not work if the engine locking/unlocking lever is not
brought to the upper handle. This is a safety function of
the lawn mower.
LOCKING/UNLOCKING LEVER
The lock/unlock lever also known as the “safety lever” must be activated
for the engine to start and run. When the bar is released, the engine stops
automatically, a safety feature to help ensure that the machine operator is
behind the bar while the engine is running.
STOPPING THE ENGINE
Release the gear lever to lock the engine. When the locking/unlocking lever
returns to its initial position the engine will automatically shut down.
