Calibration Reference Levels
It is recommended that each GSI 61 receive a thorough calibration certification once a year. If
periodic checks are also desired, the tables in this section provide the SPL values per frequency
for each transducer. If the measured values are not within ± 5 dB at 125, 6000, 8000 and 12,000
Hz in the earphones, the GSI 61 should be scheduled for immediate maintenance.]

Note: For narrow band noise, the level control is calibrated in dB of effective masking. The
SPL in each one-third octave band centered at each frequency is calibrated to a level 3 dB
