Specifications

Overview

The GT SONIC-S Series Ultrasonic Cleaner is a commercial-grade device designed for thorough cleaning of various objects using ultrasonic cavitation. This user manual provides comprehensive instructions for safe operation, application, and maintenance of the cleaner.

Function Description:

The ultrasonic cleaner operates on the principle of cavitation, where high-frequency ultrasonic waves in a liquid create microscopic bubbles. These bubbles rapidly implode, generating an intense scrubbing action on the surface of the items being cleaned. This process effectively removes dirt and grime from objects, even in hard-to-reach crevices, without causing damage to delicate parts. The device is particularly effective for items that would otherwise require tedious manual cleaning.

It comes with a soundproof lid, mesh basket, and power cord. Models 6L-9L also include an outlet filter.

Usage Features:

The GT SONIC-S Series is intended for commercial indoor use and can clean a wide array of non-porous objects that can be immersed in water. Application examples include:

  • Jewelry (gold, silver, platinum)
  • Laboratory instruments
  • Hospital and dental tools
  • Beauty and nail tools
  • Automotive and motor parts
  • Metal parts
  • Industrial parts and tools
  • Laser components
  • Electronic boards

Items not suitable for ultrasonic cleaning include soft jewelry (pearls, emerald, ivory, coral, agate, sea turtle shells), welded, plated, or glued items, watches (except diver's watches rated over 50m/150ft), ceramic, and camera filters with preexisting cracks.

Operation:

  1. Solution Filling: Fill the tank with at least 1/2 of the selected water-based cleaning solution, ensuring it does not exceed the maximum fill line. Flammable solutions like alcohol or gasoline must not be used due to fire/explosion risk.
  2. Item Placement: Place items into the mesh basket and slowly lower it into the tank. Ensure items do not directly contact the tank bottom, and the solution covers them.
  3. Power Connection: Plug the cleaner into a grounded outlet and turn on the power switch on the back. The LED display will show the ambient temperature upon first use.
  4. Timer Setting: Use the Timer increase/reduce buttons to set the cleaning time (1-99 minutes). The cleaner will shut off automatically when the countdown reaches 00:00.
  5. Temperature Setting: Use the Temperature increase/reduce buttons to set the desired temperature. The recommended temperature for optimal cleaning is 40-60°C. If the set temperature exceeds ambient, the heating function will activate. The heating function will automatically shut off if not used for 2 hours.
  6. Degas Mode: This mode intermittently operates ultrasonic power (6 seconds on, 2 seconds off) to quickly degas fresh solutions, improving cleaning efficiency. The corresponding indicator will be on during this mode.
  7. Ultrasonic Mode: This mode provides continuous ultrasonic power. The corresponding indicator will be on.
  8. Switching Modes: Users can switch between Degas and Ultrasonic modes by touching the respective buttons. To stop working, touch the ultrasonic button again, which will turn off both heating and ultrasonic functions.

Maintenance Features:

  • Post-Cleaning: After cleaning, unplug the power cord, open the lid, and remove the basket and items. Allow the solution to cool before emptying the tank.
  • Cleaning the Device: Clean both the outside and inside of the device with a clean, dry cloth. For 6L and above units, ensure the drainage valve is closed after emptying.
  • Storage: Store the device in a cool, dry place, out of children's reach.
  • Safety Precautions:
    • Do not operate the cleaner when the tank is empty.
    • Do not use corrosive detergents or pointed objects for cleaning the device.
    • Ensure no residual water is left in the tank to prevent limescale.
    • Handle the device with care; avoid impacts.
    • Do not expose the cleaner to temperatures below -10°C or above +40°C.
    • Do not use strong acids or alkalis in the tank, as they can cause corrosion, rust, or puncture the tank. Dilute to mild pH solutions or request a specific grade of stainless steel tank if such solutions are necessary.
    • Always unplug the device and allow hot water to cool before cleaning to prevent injury and damage.
