Why is my Gude Lawn Mower engine not starting?
    • J
      Jenna HintonAug 1, 2025
If the Gude Lawn Mower engine isn't starting, it might be due to a lack of fuel. Add fuel to resolve this. Alternatively, the issue could stem from using the wrong type of fuel, storing the appliance without emptying the petrol tank, or simply using the wrong petrol type. In this case, empty the fuel tank and carburettor, then add fresh petrol. A wrong, dirty, or poorly adjusted spark plug can also prevent the engine from starting, so replace the spark plug. If the spark plug is wet from petrol (flooded engine), dry and refit it. Finally, a blocked fuel filter, incorrect carburettor or sparking adjustment, or sticky valves could be the cause. Replace or repair the defective parts as necessary.

What to do if my Gude Lawn Mower is not collecting grass?

If your Gude Lawn Mower isn't collecting grass, the channel might be blocked, the grass catcher could be full, or the grass may be too wet. To address this, clean the ejection area, empty the grass catcher, and try cutting the grass in dry weather.
