Here are a few tips:

1. Remove the rubber (or plastic) cap

from the tip of the stake before using.

2. Before inserting the stake in the

ground, open the umbrella and move

it around to see which angle creates

the most shade on the spot where

you want to be. Take into consider-

ation the direction of the sun’s move-

ment to anticipate how your shade

will change over time.

3. Insert the stake in the ground us-

ing the foot pedal so that the cylinder

will hold the umbrella at the correct

angle.

General

Remove the protective cap from the stake tip before inserting it into the ground for use.

Adjust umbrella angle before staking to account for sun movement and maximize shaded area.

Insert the stake using the foot pedal to ensure the cylinder holds the umbrella at the desired angle.

Insert umbrella handle into cylinder and secure with the metal latch; latch use is optional.

Prop open umbrella vents in wind; if it inverts, push it back to restore shape.

Set the Shadebuddy at a 90° angle to function effectively as a windbreak.

Utilize built-in tie-down loops or purchase the Tie Down Kit for alternative anchoring methods.
