Section 7
7-8
7. Disconnect the BLU guard wire that runs between the PDCC Comparator
module and GUARD Rx terminal on the front panel from the PDCC
Comparator module.
8. Carefully disconnect RED wires #1 and #2, BLU wires #15 and #16 and
GRN wires #17 and #18 that run between the PDCC Comparator module
and the rest of the system.
9. Remove the PDCC Comparator module (carefully lift up and remove).
7.1.5. Reassembly Procedure
Follow the reverse actions as outlined in section 7.1.4 for each module removed from the
main assembly.
7.2. TROUBLESHOOTING
7.2.1. Introduction
The following information is provided to help localize faults to within sub-assemblies or
discrete components. To do any troubleshooting at this level the unit requires disassembly
so as to access one or more of the sub-assemblies.
Disassembly and reassembly are covered in section 7.1.4 and 7.1.5 respectively.
Before disassembling the unit, verify the performance of the unit, see Calibration section 6,
to help isolate the problem.
7.2.2. Power Up
If the unit shows no reaction to being plugged into the power line socket and turned on,
then:
Check the fuse.
Ensure that the line cord is inserted properly and that the power switch is depressed.
If the unit comes up with isolated segments lighting up weakly, then check the line
voltage selector switch on the rear of the instrument.
