8. Select the "Sofcal" function by pressing the corresponding menu
key.
NOTE:
The software responds slowly to a key press. Quick key presses
may not be acknowledged.
9. The "Gpib/RS232/Voltmeter/More 1-3" menu should appear on the
display.
10. Press the menu key under "More 1-3" until the "Diagnostic/Self
Test/Chart/More 2-3" menu appears on the display.
11. Select the "Diagnostic" function by pressing the corresponding
menu key.
12. A WARNING screen will appear. Press any key to continue. The
"Monitor/Dacs/Turns/More 1-4" menu should appear on the display.
13. Press the menu key under "More 1-4" until the
"Range/Mode/Speed/More 3-4" menu appears on the display.
14. If necessary, press the menu key under "Mode" until "Normal Ohm"
is indicated as the "Mode:" parameter.
NOTE:
There will be a delay when switching to and from "High Ohm"
if "Volts" is set to a voltage other than 0.
15. If necessary, press the menu key under "Speed" until "Moderate" is
indicated as the "Speed:" parameter.
16. Note the voltage at Rx P
2
with respect to Rx P
1
.
17. Reverse the current polarity and again note the voltage at Rx P
2
with
respect to Rx P
1
.
NOTE:
To reverse the current polarity, press the menu key under
"More x-x" until the "Sign/milliAmps/Volts/More 2-4" menu
appears. Press the menu key under "Sign".
