3.8.5. Thermometry Measurements.
This is very close to the 4-terminal "Normal Ohm" measurement routine. The difference, is
that on large temperature changes the rough null routines are re-enabled so that the "null
Turn" on the toroid can track the temperature change.
As this mode is essentially a 4-terminal Normal Ohm measurement, probes, having R0
or triple point resistance values in the working range (0.25 to >100.0) where
0.001 < Rs 10k, can be connected directly to the 6675A.
Step 1) Connect the standard resistor (Guildline Model 9334 100 and 25
resistors work quite well here) to the Rs terminals and connect the
temperature probe to the Rx terminals.
Step 2) From the Main Menu on the 6675A select <Setup> (making sure that the
right most softkey displays <probes> and not <resistors>).
Step 3) Then either:
a) Select a stored measurement configuration by going to the
<Main_Setup_load_select> menu and by using the arrow keys and <Ok>
key choose the proper configuration
or
b) Create a new measurement configuration by going to the
<Main_Setup_Edit_Mode> menu.
IPTS 68 - coefficient set for your probe. There are 4 coefficients and they are
changed by the <edit>, arrow and number keys. The <Ok> key accepts
changed data.
ITS 90 - coefficent set for your probe. There are 5 negative C ranges and 6
positive C ranges. Use the <edit>, arrow and number keys to change the
coefficient.
The <Ok> key accepts changed data.
The <-coeff> and <+coeff> keys allow you to browse through all 11 ranges.
