Overview

The GUTA GT107-2 is a Wireless Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS) designed to enhance driving safety by providing real-time tire pressure and temperature data. This system is crucial for preventing traffic accidents caused by tire issues and for optimizing fuel consumption.

Function Description:

The primary function of the GT107-2 is to continuously monitor the pressure and temperature of vehicle tires and alert the driver to any deviations from predefined safe parameters. The system consists of a display unit (monitor) and multiple wireless sensors that are installed on each tire. The display unit shows the current pressure and temperature for each tire, along with various alert icons to indicate specific issues.

The system supports several programming modes:

  • Wireless Programming: Allows the user to program sensors to specific tire locations on the monitor. This involves placing the sensor near the monitor and short-pressing the "CODE" button to register the sensor's ID.
  • Inflation Programming: Similar to wireless programming but specifically designed for scenarios where sensors are installed on tires that are then inflated. The process involves selecting the desired tire on the monitor and installing the sensor until its ID is displayed.
  • Delete Sensor's ID Code: Provides options to delete either a single sensor's ID or all programmed sensor IDs from the monitor. This is useful for replacing faulty sensors or resetting the system.

The GT107-2 also includes comprehensive alert features to notify the driver of potential tire problems:

  • High-Pressure Alert: Triggers an alarm when a tire's pressure exceeds the high-pressure alert parameter. The faulty tire icon and an alert icon will flash.
  • Low-Pressure Alert: Activates an alarm when a tire's pressure drops below the low-pressure alert parameter. Similar to high-pressure, the faulty tire icon and an alert icon will flash.
  • High-Temperature Alert: Alerts the driver if a tire's temperature surpasses the high-temperature alert parameter. All tire pressure values will change to temperature values, and the faulty tire icon and alert icon will flash.
  • Fast Leakage Alert: Detects rapid pressure loss (over 3 PSI within one minute) in a tire, displaying an alert with flashing faulty tire and alert icons.
  • Lost Sensor Signal: Indicates when the monitor has not received a signal from a sensor for more than 1 hour. The corresponding tire icon and alert icon will flash, and pressure and temperature values will disappear.
  • Sensor Low Battery Alert: Notifies the user when a sensor's battery is low, with the corresponding tire icon and a battery indicator flashing.

Important Technical Specifications:

  • Pressure Range: 0-188 PSI (0-13 BAR)
  • Working Temperature: -40°F ~ 76°F (-40°C ~ +80°C)
  • Storage Temperature: -40°F ~ 85°F (-40°C ~ +85°C)
  • Frequency: 433.92MHz
  • Input Voltage: 5-24V
  • Size (L x W x H): 99x76x25 mm
  • Weight: 118g
  • Reference Setting Pressure (Factory Default): 131 PSI (9 BAR)
  • High Pressure Alert (Factory Default): 164 PSI (11.3 BAR)
  • Low Pressure Alert (Factory Default): 98 PSI (6.8 BAR)
  • High Temperature Alert (Factory Default): 194°F (90°C)
  • Pressure Unit (Factory Default): PSI
  • Temperature Unit (Factory Default): °F

Usage Features:

  • User-Friendly Interface: The display unit features clear icons for tire status, battery levels, temperature, pressure units, and alerts. Buttons for "CODE," "SET," "+," and "-" allow for easy navigation and parameter adjustments.
  • Multi-Tire Monitoring: The monitor can display data for multiple tires simultaneously, including support for trailers (T1, T2, T3), making it suitable for trucks and vehicles with multiple axles.
  • Parameter Settings: Users can customize various parameters, including pressure units (PSI/BAR), temperature units (°C/°F), and high/low pressure alert thresholds for each truck axle and trailer. This allows for tailored monitoring based on vehicle requirements and preferences.
  • Standby Mode: The monitor enters a standby mode if no button is pressed within 1 minute during programming, reverting to displaying current pressure values.
  • Sleeping Mode: To conserve battery life, the monitor enters a sleeping mode when the motion sensor detects the vehicle has stopped for a while. It automatically reactivates when the vehicle starts moving again.
  • Trailer Data Update: If multiple trailers are programmed, the monitor automatically updates to display data for the currently connected trailer (e.g., T1 data updates to T2 data when switching trailers).
  • Optional Repeater: For long vehicles and trailers, a signal repeater may be necessary to ensure reliable signal transmission between sensors and the monitor.

Maintenance Features:

  • Sensor Reprogramming: In case of a lost sensor signal or sensor replacement, individual sensors can be easily reprogrammed to their respective tire locations.
  • Battery Replacement: The system provides a low battery alert for sensors, prompting the user to change the sensor battery when needed.
  • Factory Default Setting: The system can be reset to its factory default settings, which include predefined pressure and temperature alert thresholds.
  • Regular Inspection: The manual emphasizes the importance of regular tire inspection and maintenance, as the TPMS monitors but does not prevent traffic accidents.
  • Installation Guidelines: The monitor should be installed inside the vehicle in a location that does not obstruct normal driving and should be securely fixed to prevent falling during operation.

The GUTA GT107-2 is designed to be a reliable and essential tool for drivers, providing critical information to maintain optimal tire conditions, enhance safety, and potentially reduce operational costs.
