Cleaning and Care
•Use only cold water when lling.
•The water level must be between the MAX. and MIN. marks!
•Switch the machine o before removing it from the base.
•Always ensure that the lid is tightly closed.
•The base and exterior of the machine must not become wet
First Use of The Machine
Before using the machine for the rst time water should be boiled in it twice without
any additives.
1. Place the machine on a at surface.
2. Fill the kettle with water. Do not overll! Use the water level indicator.
3. Place the kettle ush on the base.
4. Electrical connection
•Check whether the electrical voltage that you intend to use is the same as
that of the machine. Details are to be found on the label on the base.
•Only connect the machine to a properly installed 230V 50Hz safety socket.
5. Switch the machine to position”1”.The control lamp on the water level indicator
shows that the water is being boiled.
6. After boiling the machine switches o automatically.
Disconnect the machine from the mains electricity supply.
Do not press up the lid when pouring.
Cleaning
Always remove the plug from the mains supply before cleaning the machine!
The exterior of the machine should be cleaned, if necessary, with a slightly damp
cloth without additives.
The calcium lter can be removed for cleaning.
