Overview

This document serves as the user manual for the Gyroor R1 Electric Skateboard, providing comprehensive instructions on its operation, maintenance, and safety recommendations.

The Gyroor R1 Electric Skateboard is designed for entertainment and personal transport. It features a remote control for operation, allowing users to accelerate, brake, and switch between different speed gears and directions. The skateboard is equipped with hub motors and a battery housed within its shell, with a charging port for convenience. The remote control also has a display screen that shows important information such as speed, gear level, trip distance, total distance, and battery status.

Usage Features:

Power On/Off:

To power on the remote control, press "button A" for 3 seconds. It will vibrate and enter pairing mode. For the skateboard, click the power button on the side of the ESC & Shell once. To power off the remote control, press "button A" for 3 seconds (only when speed is 0 Mph). For the skateboard, press the power button for 2 seconds. Both devices will automatically power off after 5 minutes of inactivity.

Pairing:

The remote control and skateboard are pre-paired from the factory. If re-pairing is needed, power on both devices separately. They will automatically pair if in pairing mode. The remote control screen will display "disconnect" if not paired, and the skateboard's indicator light will flash red. Once connected, the remote control will show the main page, and the skateboard's indicator light will be constantly on.

Acceleration/Braking Control:

The remote control features an acceleration/braking roller. Push it up to accelerate and pull it down to brake. It's crucial that the roller is in a neutral position when powering on to ensure proper function. If the roller is not neutral at power-on, the remote control will vibrate and prompt the user to return it to the neutral position.

Switching Speed Units:

To switch between KM/H and MPH, ensure both the skateboard and remote control are powered off. Press the skateboard's power button for 5 seconds until its indicator light flashes red quickly. Then, press "button A" on the remote control for 5 seconds until "REMOTE PAIRED OK" appears, and quickly navigate to the "UNIT SYSTEM" page. Slide the acceleration/braking roller up or down to select the desired unit, then click "button A" to confirm. The system will automatically update to the last used speed unit.

Switching Skateboard Direction:

This operation is valid only when the acceleration/brake roller is in the neutral position and the speed is 0. In forwarding mode, double-click "Button B" on the remote control; it will vibrate once, and the direction icon will change to a "Backward arrow." In backward mode, double-click "Button B"; it will vibrate once, and the direction icon will change to a "Forward arrow."

Switching Gear:

Short press "button B" on the remote control to switch to the next gear. The remote control will vibrate briefly, and the gear icon will change accordingly. The first gear is 12 Mph, the second gear is 18 Mph, and the third gear is 23 Mph. This operation is valid when the acceleration/brake roller is in the neutral position.

Battery Indicator:

The remote control has a five-grid power indicator. If the battery is below 10%, it will vibrate with a long double vibration, and the screen will display "REMOTE LOW VOLTAGE!" If it drops to 5%, it will vibrate again. The skateboard also has a five-grid power indicator. If the skateboard battery is below 25%, the remote control screen will indicate "REMOTE LOW VOLTAGE!" with a long double vibration. If it drops to 10%, the warning will repeat. When the voltage is below the safe threshold, the system will automatically cut off power output, requiring immediate braking.

Charging:

The skateboard enters charging mode automatically when connected to the charger after being powered off. The charger's indicator light will be red during charging and turn green when fully charged. For safety and battery longevity, avoid using the skateboard or remote control while charging. When charging the remote control, it vibrates briefly, and the screen displays charging progress with a flowing water animation. The remote control cannot be operated while charging and will automatically power off after unplugging the charger, with a short vibration.

Safety Recommendations:

Always wear protective gear and helmets. The E-Skateboard is for entertainment, not a vehicle, and carries inherent risks in public areas. Users must have sufficient control ability and skateboarding experience. Adhere to local traffic rules and regulations. Be aware that even with proper use, risks from illegal driving or improper operation by others exist. Higher speeds increase braking distance; avoid speeding. Maintain vigilance, an appropriate speed, and a safe distance from pedestrians and other vehicles, especially on unfamiliar terrain. Respect pedestrians; keep speed under 4 Mph when passing and maintain distance. Follow country road rules and instructions to avoid accidents, injuries, or legal disputes. Do not lend the E-Skateboard to inexperienced individuals. Always inspect the E-Skateboard before each use for any abnormal symptoms (damaged parts, decreasing battery life, excessive PU wheel wear, uncharacteristic sounds). Discontinue use immediately if any issues are found.

Malfunction Warning Instruction:

Overcharge Warning: Going downhill with a fully charged battery is prohibited as braking will charge the battery, potentially shortening its life or causing accidents. The remote control will vibrate and display "BOARD OVER VOLTAGE!" if this occurs, and the board will automatically brake. Overheating Warning: If the motor's operating temperature exceeds 100°C or drops below 0°C, the remote control vibrates and displays "OVER TEMPERATURE!" The motor will stop working. Stop using the skateboard until the temperature returns to normal. Overcurrent Warning: If the motor's operating current exceeds allowed values, the remote control displays "OVER CURRENT!" and the motor stops working. Repower the skateboard after the current returns to normal. Signal Loss Warning: If the signal is lost, the remote control vibrates and displays "DISCONNECT!" If accelerating, the skateboard will slowly stop and then brake. If not accelerating, it will brake slowly. The remote control will attempt to reconnect; upon successful reconnection, it will vibrate, and braking will be canceled. Lock-up Warning: If the motor is stuck, the remote control vibrates continuously and intermittently, displaying "MOTOR STALLING!" Stop using the skateboard and check for any foreign matter obstructing the motor.

Maintenance Features:

Battery Care:

For optimal battery life, charge the skateboard for 5 hours before first use. Charge it every two days after riding, or at least once a month if not in use for extended periods. Failure to charge regularly can lead to battery damage and over-discharge. Use only the original battery, charger, and cable.

Charging Environment:

Ensure the charger and cable are connected in a well-ventilated, dry environment. Avoid contact with water to prevent electric shock. Do not touch the charger or cable with wet hands. If any charging failure occurs, unplug immediately from the plug end, not the cable. Keep the charger and cable away from sharp or hot objects.

Regular Checks:

Perform regular checks on the charger and its cable to prevent emergencies. If there is obvious damage, do not use the charger and contact for exchange. Do not attempt to repair the battery, charger, or cable personally.

Product Packaging:

It is recommended to keep the original packaging for at least 30 days after receiving the goods for safe transport and potential warranty claims.

Warranty:

The battery is guaranteed for 6 months, and accessories for one year. The warranty covers manufacturing defects but not quality issues arising from misuse or external factors. Warranty conditions are not maintained if the product is used for commercial purposes. Refer to the "Warranty Card" and "Non-warranty regulations" sections for detailed terms.
