Why does the tungsten electrode get oxidised and turn dark at the end of welding with my GYS Greenline 5000 Inverter?

If the tungsten electrode of your GYS Inverter gets oxidised and turns dark after welding, it could be due to the welding zone not being properly protected from air flows. Make sure to protect the welding zone against air flows. It can also happen because of a default coming from post-gas or the gas has been stopped prematurely. In this case, you should increase post-gas duration. Also, check and tighten all gas connections and wait until the electrode cools down before stopping the gas.
