Do you have a question about the HanseLifter HIW-02 Series and is the answer not in the manual?

Overview

This document describes the HanseLifter HIW and HTF-02 series scissor lift tables, providing instructions for their safe and correct use, as well as maintenance procedures.

Function Description

The HanseLifter HIW and HTF-02 series lift tables are designed for stationary operation, primarily for lifting and lowering loads and pallets. They are characterized by ease of use, safety, and reliability. The lifting mechanism is powered by a hydraulic pump driven by an electric motor. Power is supplied via a 400V / 16A socket. Operation is controlled through a manual operating panel connected to the lift table's control system via electrical cables. The lift table can only be operated when the equipment is switched on.

The operating panel features an emergency stop button, a key switch, and buttons for "Lifting" and "Lowering." The emergency stop button, when pressed, interrupts the power supply and locks in a recessed position. Turning it clockwise reactivates the circuit, and the button returns to its normal position. The key switch activates or deactivates the equipment, and the key can be removed to prevent unauthorized use. The "Lifting" and "Lowering" buttons control the respective operations as long as they are pressed or until a limit stop is reached.

Safety features are integrated to prevent accidents. If the lift table is overloaded, the lifting function will not activate. During lowering, if the safety edge (located around the bottom edge of the tabletop) is activated, the lowering operation stops immediately. To release this safety lock, a short lifting operation must be performed. For maintenance or cleaning, specific safety brackets (HIW series) or transport bolts (HTF series) must be engaged to provide mechanical protection against unintentional lowering.

Usage Features

The lift tables are intended for lifting goods or loads only, in dry rooms with level floors. It is crucial to keep the lift table away from moisture and aggressive substances. If exposed to rain, it must be dried immediately, and all moving parts lubricated. Contact with dust, sand, or other abrasive materials should be avoided.

Safe Operation:

  • Only trained and authorized personnel may operate the lift table.
  • Before starting work, check all controls and moving parts for smooth operation. Any damaged or faulty parts must be repaired before use.
  • Stop work immediately if malfunctions occur (e.g., hydraulic oil leakage), secure the lift table against unauthorized use, and have it repaired by qualified service personnel.
  • Load goods evenly and avoid overloading, paying attention to the load's center of gravity.
  • Always ensure the lift table's stability during operation.
  • Operate the lift table only via the manual control unit. Avoid touching moving parts, especially the scissor mechanism and the area under the tabletop, to prevent crushing injuries.
  • Never allow people to stand on the platform or be lifted.
  • Lower the tabletop when work is finished or when leaving the workplace, as the risk of accidents is higher when the tabletop is raised.

Misuse:

  • Transporting people or animals on the lift table is strictly forbidden.
  • Using the lift table on uneven or unpaved surfaces, or surfaces with insufficient load-bearing capacity, can lead to serious accidents.
  • Overloading the equipment beyond its permitted capacity can cause severe damage.
  • Never use the safety valve as a "weighing" device or as an indicator of maximum load. Always weigh goods before loading them.

Maintenance Features

Regular maintenance is essential for the longevity and safe operation of the lift table.

Checks:

  • A periodic inspection of the lift table must be carried out annually by a qualified person, and the results must be documented in writing.

Hydraulic Oil:

  • Use standard quality hydraulic oil (L-HM32) for ambient temperatures between +5 and +40 °C. For very cold environments (-35 to +5 °C), special low-temperature oil (L-HV32) is recommended.
  • Avoid skin and eye contact with hydraulic oil. In case of direct contact, rinse with plenty of clean water and consult a doctor.
  • Do not inhale oil mist.
  • Transport oils in designated containers and never allow them to enter groundwater or wastewater.
  • Dispose of waste oils and oily waste according to regulations.
  • Wear protective clothing (gloves, goggles, apron) when handling oils.

Cleaning:

  • Disconnect power from the equipment before cleaning.
  • Never use water to clean electrical components. Use compressed air or a slightly damp cloth for surfaces.
  • Do not touch live parts. Disconnect the equipment from the power supply before cleaning.

Troubleshooting:

  • Repair work must only be performed by trained and qualified service technicians.
  • If unusual noises or excessive heat occur during operation, stop work immediately, disconnect power, and have the lift table checked by a qualified service technician.
  • In case of hydraulic oil leaks, stop work, switch off the equipment, and safely remove any load. Collect spilled fluids in appropriate containers and absorb them with binding agents. Inform superiors about the type and quantity of spilled fluids.
  • If any damage occurs that compromises safe operation, stop work and rectify the defect. Even minor repairs (e.g., fuse replacement) should be performed by a trained service technician with the equipment switched off and disconnected from the power supply.

Original Parts and Accessories:

  • Only use original HanseLifter spare parts and accessories. Using parts from other manufacturers can negatively affect the equipment's properties and voids the warranty.

This comprehensive overview provides a clear understanding of the HanseLifter HIW and HTF-02 series lift tables, covering their functionality, technical specifications, safe usage, and maintenance requirements.
