This document describes the Nightlight Bluetooth Speaker, Model: DY29S, a versatile device combining a nightlight, Bluetooth speaker, and several other functions.
Function Description:
The DY29S serves multiple purposes:
- Nightlight: Offers various light modes and 48 different color options, controlled by touching the speaker mesh. Light modes include:
- Warm White Light (Low, Middle, High Brightness): Providing 30%, 60%, and 100% brightness respectively.
- Breathing Light: Multi-colored lights cycle soothingly.
- Colorful Ambient Light: 48 colors cycle automatically for visual enjoyment.
- Music Light: Light color changes with different volumes and rhythms (flashes every 2.5 seconds when no music is playing).
- Customizable 48 Color Lights: Long-pressing the speaker mesh cycles through 48 colors, stopping when released to select the current color.
- In music light mode, touching the speaker mesh again turns off the light function.
- Bluetooth Speaker: Connects to mobile phones, MIDs, or computers via Bluetooth (device name "DY29S") to play audio.
- MP3 Player: Supports playback from a Micro SD card (TF card/U disk).
- Alarm Clock: Features a customizable alarm with adjustable time (hour/minute) and volume.
- Sleep Helper: Provides various natural sounds and white noise to aid sleep.
- Sleep Timer: Allows setting a countdown timer for 15, 30, or 60 minutes, after which the device and nightlight will turn off.
- Time Display: Shows the current time in 12 or 24-hour format.
- Timer Function: A sleep timer can be set in any mode.

Usage Features:
- Controls:
- "MODE" Key: Selects different modes (Time, Alarm, Sleep Helper, Bluetooth, MP3 Player).
- " " Key: Short press to enter the sleep timer in any mode. Long press to show alarm time and adjust alarm on/off.
- " /II" Key: In Bluetooth, MP3, and Sleep Helper Modes, short press to play/pause music. Long press for 2 seconds to enter Standby Mode. When in Standby Mode, touch the Speaker Mesh or press this key to turn on the device.
- " /+" Key: Short press to increase volume. Long press to play the next song. In alarm mode, adjusts digits (hour/minute) and volume.
- " «/-" Key: Short press to decrease volume. Long press to play the previous song. In alarm mode, adjusts digits (hour/minute) and volume.
- " /II" Key: In Bluetooth, MP3, and Sleep Helper Modes, short press to play/pause music.
- "Speaker Mesh": Touch to select a light mode. When the alarm goes off, touch to perform the snooze function (9 minutes snooze time, unlimited snoozes).
- "Power on/Off" Switch: Toggles device power on or off.
- Time Setting: Press "MODE" key to select clock mode. Press " /+" or " «/-" key to change time format (12 to 24 hour). Press "MODE" key for 2 seconds to enter time setting mode; use " «/-" or " /+" to adjust digits.
- Alarm Setting: Press "MODE" key to select alarm mode. Press "MODE" key for 2 seconds to enter alarm setting mode. Adjust digits (hour/minute) using " «/-" or " /+" keys. Adjust volume using " «/-" or " /+" keys. Press "MODE" key to confirm. Long press " " key to show alarm time and adjust alarm on or off.
- Sleep Helper Mode: Offers a variety of noise and natural sound options including White Noise (1, 2, 3, 4), Fan Noise (1, 2), Vacuum Cleaner Noise, Insect Sound, Lullaby (1, 2), Wind Sound, Waves Sound, Fire Sound, Bird Sound, and Raining Sound.
- Sleep Timer Mode: Short press the " " key to select sleep timer duration (15 min, 30 min, 60 min). "OFF" turns off the timer. The device will turn off, including the night light function, after the timer expires.
- Alarm Sound Customization: To use a favorite sound as the alarm, create a folder named "Alarm" in the Micro SD card and save MP3 files of your favorite music into it. Then insert the Micro SD card into the speaker.
Maintenance Features:
- Charging: Charge the lithium battery with a USB cable. A red LED indicator lights up during charging. A green LED indicator lights up after about 5 hours when fully charged.
- Battery Maintenance: If the device has not been used for more than a month, charge it once a month to keep the lithium battery active. For two or three months of disuse, check the lithium battery before use to avoid over-discharging or leakage.
- Troubleshooting (FAQ):
- No power: Check if the lithium rechargeable battery has power and if the DC5V plug is inserted correctly.
- No sound or sound distortion: Check if the volume is at zero, if music files are damaged, or if the rechargeable lithium battery power is insufficient.
- Device hang up: Use a stick (<5mm) to long press the reset button at the bottom of the device to power off, then power on again (or after charging).
