10. Before placing the Wheel (#1) on the axle of the Shaft (#2A), place one Flat Washer on
the axle. When placing the Wheel (#1) on the axle, the side of the Wheel with the zerk
fitting should be facing inward towards the Shaft. With the Wheel on the axle, add the
other Flat Washer and secure in place with a Cotter Pin.
11. Attach the Wheel assembly to the Mast Head (#3) by placing the shaft portion of the
Shaft (#2A) down into the hole portion of the Mast Head (#3). Lock in place by adding a
Cotter Pin through the hole in the bottom portion of the shaft.
12. Position the Windmill in the desired flat, level location. Place the four Ground Stakes
(#9) through the oval shaped holes in the bottom of each Lower Leg Section (#5C). The
Ground Stakes should be positioned at a 45 degree angle and hammered into the soil to
secure the Windmill. Note: for a more secure mounting, a cement base is recom-
mended.
13. Greasing the Wheel (#1): Use a regular bearing grease to lubricate the Wheel several
times per year.
