The break-away device is adjusted by increasing or decreasing
the amount of spring loading. Adjust the position of nut
((AA))
on
the eye bolt, which holds the spring
((BB))
1. Inspect that the rubber dampers are intact, if not,
they must be renewed.
2. Inspect that the assembly is tightened.

To ensure optimal damping and stability of the boom,
control of the rubber dampers is necessary at regular
intervals.
1. Unfold the boom
2. Loosen and unscrew with one turn the jag nut

3. Loosen the rubber damper

3. Loosen the nut

4. Retain nut

against the jag nut
AA
.
5. Unscrew the rubber damper
BB
from the bolt head

6. Grease the top of the new damper
FF
and fasten it com

pletely with the bolt head

7. Reassemble in reverse order
8. Retain the bolt head
EE
with a spanner and tighten the
jag nut

against the rubber damper
BB
9. Carry out the same procedure at the other rubber dam-
pers.
