OPTIONS SET MENU
OPTIONS SET MENU
The Options Set Menu controls some of the operating characteristics of the Citation 7.0 that determine how it
communicates with other devices such as projection screens, how the menus are displayed and how the crossover
and power on volume are set. Most of the items in this menu will not have to be changed for normal use, although you
may wish to change some of the settings to tailor the system’s performance to your own taste and requirements.
The Options Set Menu also contains the menus that control the source selection for each of the two record outputs.
Options Set Status
The factory settings for the Options Set menu are shown in Appendix #xx. If your system was installed by a dealer or
custom installer these may have already been changed to reflect the requirements of your installation. The settings
may be reviewed at any time by pressing “Options Set” on the remote control. This will bring up a status report of all
items covered by this menu with the exception of the record outputs. (Figure #xx).
After reviewing the Options Set Status, press “Cancel” to return to normal operation if no changes are required.
If any of the items shown on the menu need adjustment, press “Г to move to the main menu for the “Options Set”
section. (Figure #xx). As with all menus displayed by the 7.0, any line that ends with a “>“ is followed by a sub menu.
Other items are adjusted from the menu that will appear on the next button press.
When the Citation 7.0 is first installed it is a good idea to briefly view the various menus to familiarize yourself with their
functions and the settings that have been entered. In the future, it may be necessary to change one or more of the
menu’s sections as you change or adapt your system, room configuration or components.
Record Output Settings
In addition to the input source that is being sent through it’s processing circuits, the Citation 7.0 has the ability to route
sources to two separate record outputs. This means that in addition to enjoying one source in full multichannel audio in
a main listening room, you may make a copy of that, or any other source by routing it to a recorder. At the same time,
a third source may also be recorded or dubbed, or any of the input sources may be sent to remote room locations in a
multichannel audio installation.
Record A Output has a fixed output level. This makes “Rec A” best suited for dubbing and recording.
Record B has a variable output, which means that it may be used not only for dubbing and recording, but in keypad
controlled multiroom applications, as well. Variable audio levels enable a user in a remote room to change the volume
of the signal sent to the amplifier powering a remote room without the need for in wall auto-transformer type
potentiometers. Remote volume control requires the installation of a remote video monitor and infrared sensor, or, for
the ultimate in flexibility remote rooms may control their source and volume using the world famous AudioAccess
remote keypad. Consult your dealer or installer for additional information on using the 7.0 in multi-room applications.
