Why are the Harper Butler Arm Bed A84X84 arm bed arms not moving in unison?

      Thomas StoneAug 9, 2025
If the arm bed arms are not moving in unison, especially after replacing hoses: 1. Squeeze the arms together above the welded stops, manually assisting if needed, until they reach the maximum squeeze point. Hold the toggle active for 20 seconds to clear air from the lines. 2. Check the rubber bumpers on each arm, located on the opposite side of the cylinder hook-up point.

      William WalkerAug 14, 2025
If the power unit isn't responding to the remote when the toggle is activated, use a test light on the remote connections to the solenoid. If some connections aren't working, the problem lies in the remote. If all connections are working, inspect the solenoid. If the solenoid functions correctly, the issue is with the pump motor.

What to do if one operation is not working on Harper Butler Arm Bed A84X84?
    • S
      Susan ClarkAug 18, 2025
If one of the four operations isn't working, check the wire on the cartridge valve coil for a short. Alternatively, remove the coil and activate the remote while placing a screwdriver inside the coil. If the screwdriver doesn't magnetize to the coil, the coil is failing. If the coil magnetizes, the failure is in the cartridge valve.
