Front Panel Controls

EFFECTS RETURN RIGHT Jack

Returns low impedance signals from outboard effects to the right amp.

EFFECTS SEND MONO Jack

Sends low impedance signal to outboard effects processors.

PREAMP OUT LEFT Jack

Output from the left preamp for connecting to external devices.

PREAMP OUT RIGHT Jack

Output from the right preamp for connecting to external devices.

POWER AMP IN LEFT Jack

Line level input directly to the left internal power amp.

POWER AMP IN RIGHT Jack

Line level input directly to the right internal power amp.

DIRECT OUT GROUND LIFT Switch

Removes pin 1 to eliminate ground loop hum.

DIRECT OUT Jack

Electronically balanced XLR for routing signal to mixing consoles or PAs.

TUNER OUT Jack

Connects to a tuner or serves as a line level direct output feed.

Setting Up and Using the Kilo

Unpacking and Placement

Remove packing materials and decide on placement ensuring proper ventilation.

Connecting Speaker Cabinets

Connect speakers using Speakon® or ¼” outputs, minding impedance.

Connecting Power

Connect the 3-pin AC plug to a grounded socket. Do not power on yet.

Connecting Bass Guitar

Connect bass to INPUT jack; set initial controls like VOLUME, GAIN, COMPRESSOR, and EQ.

Powering On

Press the front panel POWER switch to turn on the amplifier.

Setting Volume and Gain

Set bass output to max, raise VOLUME until desired level, adjust GAIN to prevent clipping.

Adjusting Tone Controls

Adjust the three-band EQ controls (BASS, MID, TREBLE) to taste.

Using the Graphic Equalizer

Set GEQ sliders to flat, then adjust to complement instrument and playing style.

Using the Compressor

Activate COMPRESSOR knob to adjust compression, observe the red light indicator.

Using External Effects Processors

Connect processor via EFFECTS SEND/RETURN; set input/output gain to 0 dB.
